Carrick firsts took on a strong, experienced Larne club in their semi's match on Thursday evening. Carrick knew this would be a tough one, knowing this club so well and their capabilities. The match was competitive from start to finish with Carrick not allowing Larne to dominate. Unfortunately, Larne pulled away in the second quarter, with the match finishing with Larne taking a 10 goal win. Regardless, Carrick were proud of their performance which reflected their development since the formation of the club. ⚫️🟠⚫️🧡

POM was Sassy Sami in GK who bossed it in the circle, congratulations Sami 🎊

Both Betty and Wenda were on tender hooks the whole match but held it together ❤️

Thanks to the supporters and umpires... not forgetting fireman Sam who recognised Carrick's determination and skill, despite their lack of warmup beforehand 😆

Final week of shield matches for Carrick last week seen our firsts lose narrowly by 2 goals against Antrim... ⚫️🟠

Next up our seconds beat Newcastle 2 away on Mothering Sunday. With POM as Nikki who was on fire 🔥

Thanks to the umpires, subs and supporters as usual. Fireman Sam was disappointed but hopefully next time 🤣🙏💪

It's been a successful week for Carrick club with 2 shield matches and wins 🏆

First up, our firsts took on a strong Valley 2 on Saturday at home, knowing this would be a challenge they came out determined! It was a hard fight from start to finish with a few significant injuries in the midst of it all but luckily they came away with the win 🏆
POM was our workhorse, who never backs down, Gillian... well done girl ✨️🥳🎊

Next up, our seconds took on Strabane 2 and it was fiesty from the offset, our seconds displayed beautiful netball and significant pressure throughout which led to a win again! Congratulations Rhian POM with her many sneaky steals! ❤️✨️

Thinking of our injured players ❤️❤️ and wishing them well...

Thanks to the umpires and supporters, who never let us down. Sam the fireman gave us a good pep talk beforehand which scared the bejesus out of us and contributed to our win for sure, new coach maybe??

It's been a busy week of shield matches for Carrick this week.

First up our seconds had a very tight match against Pennisula 2, with a very narrow loss of only 3 goals! 💪👀

Then our firsts took on a strong Crumlin 3, while they didn't have a great start they pulled it back and got beat by just 7 💪

Well done to both teams, umpires and supporters 👏

Celebrations were had after the match today with out Queen 👸 and wing woman Ally who turned 50 today and played a match on her birthday 🎂 utter commitment right there!

Here she is with her balloon 🎈 and of course her King, our fireman Sam 🎊🥳💗have an amazing birthday Ally 🎂

Last week Carrick netball club faced two challenging Shield matches 🏆

First up, our seconds took on a strong Banbridge 3rds team. Having played them before, they knew they were in for a physical game. As per usual they didn't back down or let it dampen their spirit, putting 100% effort into the game. Unfortunately, they didn't come away with the win but as always,they're looking forward to their next game and new challenges ahead... 🎊🎊

Next up our firsts took on Bangor 2nds at Valley LC, and they knew this would be a tough one. However, our firsts came out determined and relentless, not allowing Bangor to dominate the game. They put up such a fight and gave Bangor a run for their money! 💪💪
Unfortunately, they didn't come away with the win but put forward a great performance regardless 💪🎊

Thanks to the umpires, supporters, and both clubs... now onwards and upwards to the next games 🙏🙏

Huge congratulations to our firsts on their promotion to league 3 🎊🎉🏆 following a very convincing win against Donaghadee 2 last night.

Our girls came out firing and dominated the game from start to finish, maintaining a significant lead throughout. Final score of 46-13 has secured us a senior 3 place.

No POM as wee James said it was too hard to choose as everyone played well 👌👌🏆

This achievement is a reflection of the cohesion and camaraderie of this club as a whole... we're in it together ❤️

Thank you Wenda for always having our back 🙏 we luv you long time ❤️

Good luck to our firsts in their play off tonight at 8.30pm, LRC against Donaghadee 2 in their challenge for promotion to league 3 🎊🎉🙏

This wee club goes from strength to strength, starting off as a new club only a few years ago, all involved should be extremely proud 👏

First week of shield matches this week for Carrick aswell as our long awaited Christmas night out. 🎊🎉

Starting off, our firsts travelled to play City of Derry who came out fighting and took a convincing win, albeit our firsts put up a good fight 👏 POM was Ashleigh who put their shooters under relentless pressure 👏

Next up our seconds travelled to Bangor this afternoon to play against Phoenix 2, this was one heck of a contest with Carrick taking the win by only one goal!! 👏 🏆 POM was Amy who played exceptionally 🎉❤️👌

What an end of season for Carrick netball club this week with two highly contested wins 🏆

First up our seconds played Newcastle 2 on Saturday afternoon. Having been beaten by this team before, they knew they were in for a tough contest... 😳😳

The game had only a few goals in it across all four quarters but Carrick pulled it out of the bag in the end winning by 3 goals. This match reflected the significant development of this team from the start of season up until now. Huge congratulations on your win 🏆

POM was Jermayne who was relentless in defence, like a little Jack Russell, gaining tips and intercepts galore!! 🎉🎉🤩🤩

Next up our firsts took on Dromore 2 on Sunday afternoon. From the outset Dromore applied pressure on our firsts throughout the court making it difficult to get the ball securely to our shooters. Carrick defence and middies as per usual worked tirelessly to get turnovers allowing Carrick to take the win by 9 goals, securing their place in the play off for potential promotion to league 3.

POM was captain Linda long legs who switched into super shot mode ending the match with pizazz!! 🎉🤩🎊

It's been a busy week for Carrick netball club... 🟠⚫️

First up, our seconds played Pennisula firsts on Tuesday night, having beaten their seconds team the week before they knew they were in for a tough one. However, as per usual, they dug deep, putting forward their best effort but unfortunately Pennisula came away with the win 😔

Next up, out firsts played a much anticipated game against Phoenix firsts, rescheduled from before Christmas. The game started slowly but Carrick built momentum each quarter taking a convincing win 🏆 with POM Amanda who was like an SAS sniper making steals galore throughout the game 🏆🏆🎊🎊👏

Finally, our firsts took on Banbridge seconds on Saturday afternoon. They knew this would be a challenging one but thankfully they maintained composure and strength coming away with a win, albeit a tight one with only 2 goals in it! 🎊🏆🟠⚫️

Thanks to all the subs who kindly came along as backup, thanks to our wee Wenda for umpiring & all the supporters... not forgetting our super and most loyal fireman Sam who is always at the sidelines growing greyer by the day 😅😅🏆🎊
