A long, hot summer has tested courses across the country, but our team has risen to the challenge.

The links is playing just as it should at this time of year. Firm underfoot, fast through the fairways and framed by heather in full bloom.

You have to see the 13th green to believe it - pictures hardly do it justice.

The front right quarter is the high tier and the toughest pin position, while the rest of the green slopes away into a lower bowl.

It's an exhilarating design unlike anything else we've encountered.

East Lochside Cottage, sitting to the left of the 1st green, is more than a reminder of our heritage as one of the world’s 20 oldest golf clubs. It also comes into play. The 1st may be a short par 4, but with out of bounds up the right, players often bail out left, only to find themselves stuck behind the cottage.

While half our course is played along the railway and in the dunes, looking back towards the 5th green you'll see the other characteristics that make our links so unique.

Pine trees lining the fairways, creating a heathland feel while the layout remains distinctly linksland with firm turf and pot bunkers as the main features.
