Ever wondered why The Carnoustie Championship Course is known as “Golf’s Greatest Test”?

This compass diagram from back when it was known as 'Carnoustie Medal Course', shows the direction each hole plays and you’ll notice there are no more than two holes that play in the same direction. Add in the infamous Carnoustie wind, and players are forced to constantly adapt their strategy, club selection and shot-making from the 1st tee to the 18th green.

It’s one of the many reasons Carnoustie remains one of the most unique and demanding challenges in golf.

Another brilliant week at The Craw’s Nest Tassie ⛳️

Once again, congratulations to Steven Cargill of Dalhousie Golf Club on becoming our 2026 Craw’s Nest Tassie Champion, and to Paul Christopher of Pleasington Golf Club on winning the 2026 Maulsebank Trophy.

BREAKING: Cargill Claims Craws Nest Tassie Title 2026 🏆

Steven Cargill of Dalhousie Golf Club captured the Craws Nest Tassie today with a hard-fought 2up victory over two-time champion Andrew Fyfe of Carnoustie Golf Club.

Cargill entered the knockout stages as the No.1 seed after topping the leader board in the 36-hole qualifying rounds. Despite trailing by two holes after 11, he produced a composed back-nine performance in the cold easterly conditions over Carnoustie Golf Links renowned closing stretch to turn the match around and secure his first Tassie triumph.

Meanwhile, in the Maulesbank Trophy final, Paul Christopher of Pleasington Golf Club defeated Göran Lind of Chalmers GK 5&4, going one better after his semi-final finish in last year's competition.

Congratulations to both players and huge thank you to everyone on a successful tournament. 💚
