A week on Thursday, 17th September, one of the Clubs longest serving members and someone who helps every meeting, even in-between meetings, is 'braving the shave'.

Amy will be shaving her head for St. Johns Hospice North Lancashire and South Lakes. A great cause and a brave act!

🏆🏆 STOCK CAR CHAMPIONSHIP DAY 🏆🏆

The Stock Cars have been the backbone of the Club since 1972 and some of the trophies on offer have names etched in them as long ago as 1975. Since then drivers have battled to add their names to the trophies, with some proving very successful and dominant over certain years. The drivers will be racing for the Silver Brit Championship, Peter Howson Memorial, Kitchen Engineering Shield, Marine Service Station Cup and the Eric Rose Memorial Bowl. There's also the Lunar Refrigeration Trophy, which is raced for by the drivers mechanics. All this results in a very busy day for the drivers, and the one with the most points on the day also takes home a trophy.

🏁 BOOKINGS NOW OPEN FOR THE KEN ALLEN CHAMPIONSHIP DAY 13TH SEPTEMBER 🏁

Hard to believe, but it's only a week to go until Championship Day! The season has flown by and once again here we are ready to give out the big trophies and decide who will get to run a Silver Roof for the next 12 months. For Ministox, Senior Minis and Stock Cars drivers, only members who have raced 5 meetings will qualify to race the meeting and they are listed on the post. Please confirm that you can make the meeting to allow us to plan grids for the Silver Roof Championships. Micro Bangers are open to all drivers for this meeting. This is the meeting every driver works towards, so make sure you’re there for a must see meeting!

🏁 THANK YOU TO YOU ALL! 🏁

A big thank you to the marshals, medics, spectators, drivers and mechanics who attended today's Caravan Carnage meeting. Once again the drivers put on a fantastic Caravan Race, culminating in a very popular win for Caravan Queen, 92 Julie Lomas, dethroning the Caravan King, 90 Craig Lomas in dramatic fashion, Craigs engine giving up with two laps to go! Thank you also to our meeting sponsor, Craig Morphet & Son Septic Tank Emptying.

It was a great day for the lower grade drivers in the Ministox and Junior Rookies, three different winners in each formula and first time wins for both 344 Max Shaw and 353 Riley Buckley. The Seniors and the Stock Cars saw close racing throughout and the 2L Bangers produced some hard hitting action in the Final and DD. A big thank you also to our visitors from the Isle of Man. We hope you have a safe trip home.

Looking forward to two weeks' time, it’s one of the big ones, the Ken Allen Championship Day! The Ministox, Senior Minis and Stock Cars will be racing for the chance to run a Silver Roof for the next 12 months, aswell as getting their names on some of the Club's historical trophies. The Micro Bangers will also be out racing for the Diane Allen Memorial. There’s sure to be must see racing all day!
