The 3rd team have learnt loads this season but the resilience shown to bounce back after last week has been amazing 🟢🟡

Last Sunday saw us fall to a mammoth defeat at the hands of Westgate - enough to test even the most devoted of cricketers 🟢🟡

It was great to see the young lads don the whites again this weekend and play their part in a great game against Milnthorpe 🟢🟡

Runs on the board from the efficient Robinson Snr & the entertaining Davy Snr 🟢🟡

As usual, the bowling load was carried by the youth and today it was Robinson Jnr who led the charge with 4 wickets, supported by Millatt, Scotson & a pair young Davy’s 🟢🟡

Thanks to Milnthorpe for the hospitality and the game played in good spirit 🟢🟡

12 points for the 1st team that takes us up to 4th in the table with 3 games to play 🟢🟡

The ever youthful opening pair of Crowther & Davy laid a solid platform but the usual run-getters failed for once leaving Warton stuttering at 94-4.

Thankfully another mature captains innings from Batson, supported by Oyston, French & Tattersall, dragged the score to a challenging 193. 🟢🟡

Coniston matched the home side for a solid start and at 70-0 a Warton win looked a long way off. That was before 4 wickets in 7 balls changed the game 🟢🟡

Step forward George Oyston with a hat-trick as part of his game changing spell that ripped the heart out of the chase and left him with career best figures of 7-46 🟢🟡

Tattersall comes back into the side after some good performances for the 2nds 🟢🟡

2nd team keep their title challenge / promotion attempts on track with a win on the road 🟢🟡

Great knocks from Lee & Tattersall allowed captain for the day Bolton to set a match winning total 🟢🟡

Barrow chased well but were pegged back by Tattersall and Harry Bolton before captain fantastic Jack Bolton took 4 poles and claimed player of the match 🟢🟡
