Cardiff 2 - 12 Whitchurch
Cardiff A 6 - 8 Pontyclun

As we come to the end of the season, we would just like to say a huge thank you to our team captains, Brian Sage and Martin Davies.

Being a captain is not an easy job. It takes a lot of time, effort and commitment, and we really appreciate everything you have done for the club throughout the season. 👏

A big thank you also goes to everyone who has supported the club this season.. our players, the people who prepare the food and serve behind the bar, and everyone who comes along to cheer us on from the sidelines. Your support means a lot to us and helps make the club what it is. ❤️

Next week we wrap up the season with our Finals Day, and everyone is welcome to come along and join us for what should be a fantastic day!

We hope everyone has a lovely winter, and we’re already looking forward to seeing you all again next season!

Come on Cardiff! 💙

This weekend, we play our final league games of the outdoor season!

There’s nothing but pride on the line for the First Team fixture, with both teams having already secured promotion from the Second Division. That said, I’m sure neither side will want to finish their season with a loss, so it sets up to be a fantastic game!

Our A Team are currently in the relegation zone, but they have battled hard all season and have kept themselves in with a chance of staying in the division. It’s a tough ask, but all 14 points are needed!

Good luck to A Team captain Martin and everyone playing in this crucial game💪💛💙

🔵 Come on Cardiff!! 🔵

Match Results from Saturday

Our first team managed to secure a hard fought victory against a battling Penylan A Team.

It was close all the way through with the home team managing to hold onto a small lead throughout... Conditions for the game were tough with the green being very wet and particularly heavy, but we were blessed with glorious sunshine for the entirety of the game and glad to get it played! 👏

Unfortunately, our A team suffered a narrow away defeat, losing by just 11 shots.

Cardiff A 3 - 11 Millwood

Well played to everyone who represented the club on Saturday! 💛💙

GAME DAY!

And what a beautiful day for a game of bowls! 🌧️

First Team
We welcome Penylan A to our green today. Promotion is already secured, but we still want those valuable points, with the league title still very much on the cards!

Our A Team travel to Millwood, hoping for a win that could be crucial in their fight to stay in the division. As it stands, the game is ON, but Millwood will be carrying out a green inspection at 12pm, so we’ll await confirmation.

If both games go ahead, good luck to everyone playing today! Give it everything and enjoy the sunshine! ☀️ 👀

In the Quarter Final of the Super 8 last night under the floodlights at MWE Cardiff took on Thomastown. Having already been knocked out of the Top Club by Thomastown earlier in the Season we knew we'd be in for a hard battle.

The game was nip and tuck all the way with no more than a handful of shots in it... We managed to take a 6 shot lead into the 18th end and with both Rinks picking up on the final end we managed to book our spot in the Semi's.

Rink Scores of 25-10 and 17-18 saw us finish up 42-28 Winners. Thank you to everyone who took part and particularly to Sue Davies and Tracy Gowen who stepped in at short notice.

Good luck to Lauren Gowen who is playing with Gwen Lewis in the under 25 pairs tomorrow at the National Finals. You’ve got this 🍀🍀

A good game against Gilfach this afternoon. We almost repeated yesterday’s result and fought our way to victory, but unfortunately for us, Gilfach did enough to stay ahead and earn themselves 11 points.

Rink scores:

M. Hill 23 – 29 D. Trew
R. Jones 17 – 20 C. Williams
L. Magee 21 – 21 C. Mounty
R. Mountstephen 21 – 20 A. Ashcroft

Congratulations to Gilfach on their win! 2–1 to you this season!! we’ll be back for revenge in the future, I’m sure! 😜

A great group of men, thanks for your company this afternoon, and all the very best for the rest of the season. 👏

See you again soon!
