The shooting club was then re-established in the academic year of 2009-10, the first executive members were Robin Huxtable (President), Ross Webster-Salter (Treasurer) and Michael Hallett (Secretary). After a successful first year and having a large amount of support from the University and the Welsh shooting community the club is aiming to grow to cater for other activities it believes should be offered by societies at the University such as Archery and Fishing,
When the merger of Lampeter University with Trinity College Carmarthen was announced, Lampeter and District Shooting Club set out a target to bring the two closer together by giving both campuses equal access to the sport and encouraging cross campus participation. In the academic year of 2010/11 Lampeter and District Shooting Club was given Club of the Year award, the first award of it’s kind under the new Trinity St.
