Congratulations to all the gymnasts who took part in the Welsh Regional Challenge Cup at All stars Cardiff yesterday, Saturday 18th April 2026

All competing gymnasts in this Championship all aim for the top two podium positions to place in the top two in Wales to be selected to represent Team Wales as a region in the forthcoming 2026 British Inter-Regional Challenge Cup Final Tumbling Championship against gymnasts from Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland

The winning top two gymnast must achieve the required difficulty score, an incredible accomplishment that reflects their dedication and hard work.

CSoG would like to congratulate all of our gymnasts on this fantastic achievement with such rewarding results

In Memory of Owain

It is with great sadness that we reflect on the loss of Owain, a much-loved former gymnast, coach, performer and friend, who has passed away far too young.

Owain's journey with Carmarthenshire School of Gymnastics began as a young boy, where his talent, enthusiasm and determination quickly became evident.

Gymnastics was a huge part of his early life and through dedication and hard work he progressed from gymnast to coach, inspiring younger generations with the same passion that had first brought him into the gym.

One of Owain's most memorable experiences during his gymnastics years was performing in the musical Barnum at The Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen. As part of the talented group of gymnasts representing Carmarthenshire School of Gymnastics, he embraced the excitement of the stage and discovered a love of performing that would help shape his future.

The theatre captured Owain's imagination. Enjoying every moment in the spotlight, he went on to audition successfully for the Carmarthen Youth Opera.

His passion for acting continued to grow, eventually leading him to college where he pursued studies to fulfil his dream of becoming an actor.

Although his path eventually took him away from gymnastics, Owain never forgot where his journey began.

From his earliest days as a young gymnast to his later years as a coach, he remained a valued and respected member of the Carmarthenshire School of Gymnastics family. His enthusiasm, kindness and encouragement left a lasting impression on those who trained, worked, and performed alongside him.

Many of us have such fond memories of Owain and often find ourselves looking back on those happy days with great affection. Whether in the gym, on the stage, or sharing laughter with friends, he brought energy, warmth and a genuine love for life wherever he went.

His passing is a heartbreaking loss and our thoughts are especially with his dad and brother during this incredibly difficult time. No parent should have to endure the loss of a child and we hope they find comfort in knowing how deeply loved and admired Owain was by so many people whose lives he touched.

Owain will be remembered not only for his achievements as a gymnast, coach and performer, but also for the joy he brought to others.

His memory will live on through the countless lives he influenced and the treasured memories he leaves behind.

Rest peacefully, Owain. You will never be forgotten.

Fel rhan o'r grŵp talentog o gymnastwyr a oedd yn cynrychioli Ysgol Gymnasteg Sir Gaerfyrddin, cofleidiodd gyffro'r llwyfan a darganfod cariad at berfformio a fyddai'n helpu i lunio ei ddyfodol.

Gadawodd ei frwdfrydedd, ei garedigrwydd a'i anogaeth argraff barhaol ar y rhai a hyfforddodd, a weithiodd a pherfformiodd ochr yn ochr ag ef.

Mae gan lawer ohonom atgofion mor hoffus o Owain ac yn aml rydym yn ein cael ein hunain yn edrych yn ôl ar y dyddiau hapus hynny gyda hoffter mawr. Boed yn y gampfa, ar y llwyfan, neu'n rhannu chwerthin gyda ffrindiau, daeth ag egni, cynhesrwydd a chariad gwirioneddol at fywyd lle bynnag yr aeth.

Carmarthenshire School of Gymnastics is immensely proud to announce the outstanding achievements of our CSoG Tumbling Squad members representing Team Wales today at the Telford International Centre.

Four of our exceptionally talented athletes, representing the Welsh Foundation and Performance Squads, competed on the national stage with distinction, skill and exemplary sportsmanship.

Individual and Team Accolades
Our gymnasts delivered world-class performances, securing both individual and team medals for Wales:

* Mared (9–12 Years Category): Secured the Individual Silver Medal and played a pivotal role in leading the Junior Girls Team Wales to a Team Silver Medal.
* Corey (9–12 Years Category): Earned the Individual Bronze Medal and significantly contributed to the Junior Boys Team Wales capturing the Team Gold Medal.
* Florence (17-21yrs -Senior Female Category): Demonstrated elite-level consistency to help bring home a Team Gold Medal for Wales.
* Luca (17-21yrs- Senior Male Category): Performed brilliantly to secure a Team Gold Medal for Wales.

Milestone Achievements
This championship marked a significant milestone for our programme. We celebrate Mared and Corey on making their historic debut appearances for Team Wales.

This is an outstanding milestone and the beginning of what promises to be a remarkable international journey.

We also extend our highest praise to our experienced seniors, Florence and Luca. Following their previous international appearances, they continue to set the standard for excellence and inspire the next generation of CSoG athletes.

We are incredibly proud to announce that four talented members of the CSoG Squad, all part of the Welsh Foundation and Performance Squads, were selected to represent TEAM WALES and competed today at the first 2026 Home Nations Tumbling Championships in Telford International Centre today, on Friday 29th May 2026.

A huge congratulations to Corey and Mared, making their debut appearances for Team Wales which is an outstanding achievement and the beginning of an exciting journey.

Congratulations also to Florence and Luca, who continue to make us proud following their previous international appearances representing Wales at the Loulé Tumbling Cup in Portugal and the French Tumbling Cup in Paris.
