🎣🔥 Double Trouble for Lyle! 🔥🎣

Lyle was out a few days ago on a mark near Ogmore and managed to land not one, but two cracking Thornback Rays! 😍

These spotted beauties put up a proper scrap over the rough ground, testing both tackle and angler before eventually sliding onto the rocks for a quick photo opportunity. 💪

It’s always great to see rays showing up in good numbers along the coast, and these two are a fine reward for putting the time in and braving the conditions. 👌

The question is… which ray would you rather catch? 🤔

The club is fishing Amroth this Friday evening 9pm til 1 am. Low water is around 11pm.
Meet in the centre car park at 8pm.
£5 optional pool for the heaviest in size fish. Doggies only count if no other in size fish are caught.
Potential new members are welcome to come along and fish with us on the evening.
We are hopeful of a few Smoothounds on this one 🤞🤞🤞

🎣🌿 YOU CAN’T HAVE A BAD DAY AT WORK IF YOU DON’T GO! 🌿🎣

A massive congratulations to Steve on landing his first ever Grass Carp, tipping the scales at a very respectable 19½lb from Luxe Lakes! 👏🐟

After years of catching fish that actually belong in the water around here, Steve decided it was time to branch out and target something that spends its days pretending to be a lawnmower. 🌱😂

What a result for a first Grassie! A stunning fish in immaculate condition and one that certainly put a bend in the rod. By the look of that smile, we reckon the rain, late night, and inevitable “I’ll just do one more cast” were all well worth it.

They say you can’t have a bad day at work if you don’t go… and judging by this catch, Steve may have accidentally discovered the secret to happiness. 🤣

Top angling, Steve! Here’s hoping it’s the first of many… although now you’ve caught one, you’ll probably spend the next six months trying to catch a bigger one. That’s how they get you! 🎣😆

🦈🎣 The Great Saundersfoot Bait Mystery… 🎣🦈

Isaac was down on Saundersfoot Harbour Wall this week when this cracking 13lb Smoothhound decided to make an appearance! 💪

Now, the fish is impressive enough… but the real question is:

❓ Was it caught on lugworm?
❓ Was it squid?
❓ Was it hardback crab?
❓ Did Isaac accidentally discover the secret bait formula that the rest of us spend years trying to find?

At this point, nobody knows. Not even Isaac. 🤷‍♂️😂

What we do know is that this smoothhound clearly wasn’t fussy and fancied a trip up the harbour wall for a quick photo before heading back home.

A fantastic fish and proof that Saundersfoot continues to produce the goods when you’re willing to put the time in… and occasionally forget what bait you’ve actually got on the hook! 🎣🤣

Massive well done Isaac on a cracking hound. The fish may remain a mystery, but one thing’s certain… the bait worked! 👏🦈

🦈🔥 A Proper Welsh Beast! 🔥🦈

Huge congratulations to Steve Tucker, who landed this absolutely stunning 45lb Tope last week! 💪🎣

These hard-fighting sharks are renowned for their blistering runs and incredible power, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. Once hooked, it was game on as the fish tore off across the bay, putting both tackle and angler to the test before eventually being brought safely to shore.

At a whopping 45lb, this is a fish most sea anglers dream of catching and a fantastic reward for the effort put in. The smile says it all! 😁

Tope fishing is one of the most exciting forms of UK shore angling, and catches like this show just what can turn up along our coastline when conditions are right.

Massive well done Steve on a cracking fish and a memory that will last a lifetime. 👏

🎣🐟 Barry Strikes Again at Amroth! 🐟🎣

A cracking bass for Barry this week from Amroth Beach, and proof once again that you can’t beat a fresh lugworm when the bass are on the feed! 👌

This silver beauty put up a great account of itself before eventually finding its way onto the shingle. With conditions looking good and fish showing along the coastline, it’s no surprise to see catches like this starting to come through. 🌊
