A wonderful start to the week, facilitating a creative reflective practice sessions for artists and practitioners from the Creative Home Delivery Service for . A groundbreaking project where artists go into the homes of people to share creativity and connection. We used the What? So What? Now What? reflection framework with Boal’s Image Theatre as a way to dig deeper. We also added in What if? To start visioning future ways of working.

Over the last year I have been working with as a facilitator. I have been facilitating with the Citizens Assembly, Access and Dis-ability working group and over the last three months I have been co-facilitating our COMPOSTÏO work. This work has been groundbreaking and transformative as we explore this central question: ‘How can the oldest town in wales model a radical future, (for everyone)?’

Centring values of creativity, lived experience, radical care and relational ways of working we are building essential ways of working to create meaningful change though social justice, climate democracy, young people and anti-poverty work. I feel honoured as a facilitator to be in the heart of this work and I am humbled with how much more there is to learn, develop and grow.

Together with social artist who heads up the LocalMotion Carmarthen work as Collaboration and Change Manager we have been exploring ways of holding brave spaces for complex and potential difficult conversations to happen. My background in Applied Theatre facilitation has led to a push towards more embodied approaches to being in a space together, which is where the COMPOSTÏO work currently sits. Using the garden as metaphor for how we work together, with our values of radical care, relational ways of working, creativity and lived experience forming the soil from which the work grows and where it goes back to to be composted and feed future growth. The photo above is from our first COMPOSTÏO day where we invited the people of Carmarthen to come together and join us in the garden to explore together what we are growing, what we want to grow, what is missing and what are the roles we could play. We are now about to enter into COMPOSTÏO 3 where we will explore how we value and make decisions about the resources our garden needs and enter into a Deep Democracy process to dig deep into the role of governance in our garden with our wonderful co-facilitators Lisa and Jen.

If you are Carmarthen based and wish to attend COMPOSTÏO 3 this Thursday (19th) email [email protected]

“Allow things to fall - the fear that those last four words can strike in me is absurd, and I don’t think I am the only one. Allowing things to fall is like the complete opposite of my recent raison d’etre. I have been holding so much s**t together that my middle name could be SuperGlue…”

☀️ Fantastic to be at the The National Botanic Garden of Wales today 🌼 for Swansea University's 'Making the most of most significant change pioneers' exchange and networking event, with arts, third sector and health professionals.

Excited to hear how people are using the evaluation methodology 'Capturing significant stories of change' in their work, including Peoplespeakup, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, and Neath Port Talbot Council ✨

I am getting booked up for the New Year for these workshops and thought I would offer them up here too.

Team Visioning and Staff Empowerment Workshops for 2025 - now booking! Start 2025 the right way!

See below ⬇️

Team Visioning

Need to start the new year with high team morale, an enthused and positive workforce, a management team that are on the same page and excited about the year ahead?

These workshops are designed to engage staff in visioning and goal setting together for the coming year. They encourage participation and are aimed at engaging staff to feel empowered, valued and creative. Carefully crafted to avoid group think and the priority of dominant voices, a team visioning day can take your team into the new year with shared purpose, goals, improved productivity and higher staff wellbeing levels. Whilst at the same time solving problems creatively in less time, with less meetings and less overwhelm.

Staff Empowerment:

An opportunity for staff to consider the year ahead both professionally and personally in terms of hopes, intentions and goals. This workshop provides a positive and empowering container for colleagues in an organisation to start the New Year with a growth mindset, celebrate their achievements and set powerful and focussed intentions for the coming year.

This holistic workshop considers the whole person and how bringing different areas of life into balance can improve wellbeing, productivity and morale as individuals but also as teams. The workshop allows time for independent work as well as time to connect with others to maximise accountability and achievement of goals and intentions.

Asking this question gives us permission to seek out things we hold onto that are no longer useful for us and let them go.

Making way for new ways of being

What is holding you back? What is redundant in your life? What can you put down to relieve the weight you have been carrying?

Not sure how to do this? No problem… DM me and I can share some of the processes I use to let go.
