Match report Amroth 13-6-26
This match was fished from 9pm to 1 am 2 hours either side of Low water. Smoothounds were the main target fish and they turned up in Force. There were also a lot of doggies and a few Schoolies caught.
This match was based on the heaviest fish and first place went to Karl Wenz with a lovely hound of 11Ib 7oz, 2nd was Steve Penhallurick with a 10Ib 10oz specimen, followed by 2 nine pounders. 9Ib 4oz for Steve Tucker and 9Ib 2oz for Des Thomas.
3 anglers also caught 8Ibers so there were some nice fish caught and most anglers got into the hounds.
Nice to see Leighton Bennett from Bennett’s Bait and Tackle and his father Huw fishing this one as well and Leighton was just out of the frame with an 8Ib 8oz fish.
Next match is Fishguard harbour on the 28th June.

Match report: Cefn Sidan 26th April 2026. Lovely warm, sunny day for a spot of fishing. We had a good turn out, with a total of 15 anglers in attendance. There were a variety of species caught, including bass, flounder, dab and sole, although the small schoolie bass were a bit too persistent at times. However, I'm pleased to report that everyone beat the blank. 😀 Results: 1st Stephen Tucker with a 3lb 9oz bass who also had another of 2lb 7oz, 2nd Mal Ruff with a cracking specimen flounder of 2lb 3oz, 3rd Simon Torr with a 1lb 2oz flounder, joint 4th Taylor Wainwright and Kevin Reeve with a 1lb flounder each. Good to see some new faces, including junior member Tyler Wainwright, who bagged a couple of respectable flounder. Our monthly meeting will be at 8pm 29th April, for anyone who maybe interested in joining the club. Tight lines. 😊🐟
