🏆 SPIRIT OF CLYDESDALE 🏆

The inaugural Spirit of Clydesdale club shield (sponsored by The Wee Farm Distillery) was won by our one and only, Gail Ramsay. ❤️

Our Spirit of Clydesdale award recognises someone whose contribution and impact at Clydesdale stretches far beyond the court, always shows our club values and ultimately helps build a positive culture and legacy.

Gail has been a real champion of our club supporting with fundraisers, team ‘momager’ of seniors, being the best supporter all whilst carrying out very important roles; chairperson and secretary.

Gail defo deserves a grid post all to herself but she hates all this attention 😅🙈 so I’ve also posted some pics of our coaches, junior coaches and team managers receiving their gratuities at the awards night too.

A huge thank you to everyone (way more than we’ve managed to picture) who supports on the sidelines, on the group chats and/or in the background with all the roles that are pivotal in making our wee club run smoothly. Without your commitment, enthusiasm and care we wouldn’t be able to provide so many super opportunities to our members.

Finally, a special well done and thank you to our amazing events committee who coordinated a fabulous awards night. Complete with 60 awards being handed out, awards sponsorship, the biggest bestest raffle ever, club fundraiser, decorations, gratuities and of course lots of dancing! 💃 We’re looking forward to next year already! 🥳

From Lia’s balloon decorations, the recruitment of sponsors, Vicki organising the DJ, Laura organising the venue and of course Clare and Lindsay’s “best raffle ever!”. We are so blessed to have such a fabulous team of supportive parents helping our wee netball club be the best big netball family we could dream of! 🥰✨

What a fantastic night at our Club Awards Night!

It was wonderful to see so many of our girls together once again, celebrating their achievements, making memories and enjoying each other's company. Nights like these remind us that our club is about so much more than sport – it's about friendships, teamwork and being part of something special!

A special mention goes to our girls who were away in Italy with their school but still managed to join in on the fun from afar!

Congratulations to all of our award winners and nominees. Every one of you should be incredibly proud of your hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the year!

We hope everyone had a brilliant evening and enjoyed celebrating another successful season together!

A huge thank you to for hosting today’s development tournament. Our squads embraced the challenge throughout the day, showing determination, resilience, and excellent teamwork against strong opposition.

First up was the u15s Development Tournament. It was always going to be a significant test for our team of U13s, but our girls rose to the occasion and as always did themselves and coach very proud, with two wins and one narrow loss, but more importantly giving 100% effort throughout. ⭐️

Next up our U17s took to the court and held their own against tough, physical teams. Some great moments of play and lots of learning but the highlight again for this team was their unwavering support for each other - these girls have really showcased the best team spirit all season and it’s been a joy to watch their friendships and their netball develop!

Development tournaments have offered invaluable learning opportunities and confidence builders, particularly for our younger players, getting a chance to put their training into practice in a game setting against stronger, taller players. We are always impressed with our players’ attitudes, willingness and coachability, and their ability to face challenges - backed by their training, the strong bonds with their teammates and the brilliant support from the bench.

Development tournaments provide a fantastic opportunity not only for players but also for umpires to nurture young talent and encourage understanding of the game in a positive and supportive way for the age and stage. We were fortunate to have our trainee umpire Liv get the opportunity to give back to the game today and she did a fantastic job umpiring for the opposing teams.

Thank you again for a great day of netball. We look forward to future opportunities to compete, learn, and continue developing our young players. 🙌🏐

The Striders were on court this morning at the Oriam in Edinburgh for the Drink Aware Tournament Cup, and what a morning it was!

Across seven 10-minute matches, the team's confidence grew with every game, earning them a well-deserved place in the final against Stirling Netball Club!

After Stirling took an early lead, the Clydesdale Striders dug deep, fought their way back to level the score and then pushed ahead before the final whistle to secure the win!

A fantastic team performance showcasing determination, teamwork and immense club pride from start to finish!

A huge thank you to all the teams who took part—it was a pleasure to share the court with you today. We'd also like to thank the organisers for making the event possible, including Drink Aware UK and a special mention to Blossom Tree Cafe for providing the amazing catering service throughout the tournament!

What a year it has been 🤩 and how special to have all teams, from our U11s right through to our walking netballers, together in the same room to celebrate surrounded by family and friends 🥰

We are very proud of our wee club and of each and every member’s contribution. We could also say thank you a million more times to all of our committed coaches and helpers behind the scenes too!
