Most people don’t need to spend years learning Olympic lifting.

They need the qualities Olympic lifting develops.

✔️ Power
✔️ Speed
✔️ Coordination
✔️ Athleticism

So with our athletes we often start with modified variations that are easier to learn, easier to coach and easier to progress.

Today’s focus:

* Bar to the knees first
* Drive the hips
* Elbows high
* Let the power come from the lower body

A great example of why coaching matters.

A small adjustment can completely change the quality of a rep.

Form first.
Load second.

Shark tank finisher.

What happens when you put competitive people in the same room?👇

35kg goblet squat.

Simple challenge.

One person starts.

Everyone else has to beat the score.

Sam stepped up first and put 38 reps on the board.

Legs shaking.
Lungs burning.
Every rep getting slower.

Then came Nikolai.

The target was simple:

Beat 38.

At one point he needed 5 more reps to take the lead.

The room got louder.
The pressure got higher.
The legs got heavier.

He fought for every rep before finally dropping it at 36.

No prizes.

No trophies.

Just men pushing past the point where most people stop.

That’s where confidence is built.

That’s where standards are built.

That’s The Forge.

Weighted dips for Josh.

Simple movement.
Brutal when done properly.

No machines.
No distractions.
Just bodyweight, external load and complete control.

The best part?

At the end of the set, the belt gets passed straight over to Max.

That’s the environment.

People pushing each other.
Standards rising together.
Real training partners, not spectators.

People love the idea of hard work until it actually gets uncomfortable.

This is what real effort looks like.

100 calories on the Assault Bike after already being deep into the session.

Legs burning.
Lungs gone.
Body trying to shut down.

And still continuing.

Not every session is clean.
Not every session looks pretty.

But growth doesn’t happen inside comfort.

Sometimes the session humbles you.
Sometimes you end up laid out on the floor questioning life.

Good.

That’s where standards are built.

1000 calories on the Assault Bike.

As a team.

Man on.
Man off.
No escape.

What started as a joke turned into one of the grimmest finishers we’ve done.

By the end:

➡️ lads laid across the floor
➡️ lungs burning
➡️ legs gone
➡️ people being sick
➡️ tanks completely emptied

But nobody quit.

That’s the difference.

Anybody can train hard when they feel fresh.

Real character shows when your body is screaming to stop and you still keep moving for the team beside you.

This is the type of work that builds:

➡️ real engine
➡️ real resilience
➡️ real confidence
➡️ trust inside the group

Because once you’ve survived sessions like this, normal life feels easier.

Proud of every lad involved.

Today with Max we worked on Zercher squats.

Not just moving weight.

Learning how to own uncomfortable positions under control.

•Slow eccentric
•2 second pause in the hole
•Elbows inside knees
•Brace hard
•Stand up with intent

Most people rush the hard part.

At The Forge we slow it down, control it, then build strength from the bottom up.

That’s where real progress is built.

SAM’S REACTION.

The photos show the transformation.

This shows what it actually means to the person living it.

Week after week, it’s easy to miss the changes when you see yourself every day.

Then you put the photos side by side.

That’s when it hits.

The weight lost.

The habits built.

The confidence gained.

The best part isn’t the reaction to the photos.

It’s knowing they’ve been earned.

Every session.
Every meal.
Every week of consistency.

Stack the weeks long enough and the results become impossible to ignore.

Proud of you mate.

Most people think transformation is built in the big moments.

It’s not.

It’s built here.

When your legs are burning on the BikeErg.
When your lungs are screaming.
When you’re tired and still expected to move properly.

Find a rhythm.
Control your breathing.
Stay composed under fatigue.

That’s where performance is built.

At The Forge, recovery doesn’t mean standing around waiting to feel comfortable again.

It means learning how to recover while still working.

That’s the difference.

This is what training should feel like.

Not staring at your phone.

Not wandering around a commercial gym.

Not pretending to work hard.

This clip was just one small part of a larger Forge session.

Coaching.
Competition.
Accountability.
Effort.

The exercises don’t matter nearly as much as the environment.

Because when the standard rises, people rise with it.

One person digs in.

The next person follows.

When one person refuses to quit, everyone around them finds another gear.

That’s how confidence gets built.

That’s how fitness gets built.

That’s how momentum gets built.

The Forge isn’t about random workouts.

It’s about creating an environment where ordinary people achieve things they wouldn’t normally achieve on their own.

The fist bump at the end doesn’t come lightly.

It comes when respect has been earned.
