🌊 Life Saving Skills For Children 🌊

Swimming lessons are about so much more than learning strokes.

This week at Dinkies Swim School we’ll be focusing more closely on drowning prevention and practical water safety skills for all ages.

Our older swimmers will be practising using their voices confidently to shout for help, while younger children build confidence through floating and safe movement activities.

Every child deserves to feel safer around water 💙

🌊 Special Water Safety Lessons This Week 🌊

Tomorrow we start our drowning prevention lessons. This week at Dinkies Swim School we’ll be delivering targeted drowning prevention lessons alongside our normal swimming programme.

Children will be building confidence while learning important safety techniques including:
💦 Floating and treading water
💦 Listening to safety instructions
💦 Understanding water rules
💦 Calling for help
💦 Basic rescue awareness

Our older swimmers especially enjoy practising their “SHOUT FOR HELP!” skills in the pool!

Every swimming lesson should teach more than strokes, safety skills save lives. 💙

📣 OUR AFTERSCHOOL LESSONS HAVE ARRIVED 🙌🏼

At the end of International Learn To Swim Week, I am thrilled to announce that our lessons for older children are starting after May half term.

❓Who are these lessons for?

These lessons are for any little ones who are ready to be in the pool without their grown ups.
They can be any age at the beginning of their swimming journey.

📆 Starting Monday 8th June
4pm 3+ year olds (this is still with adults in the pool)
4:30 Stage 1
5pm Stage 1
5:30 Stage 1

All lessons will take place Carrock view leisure pool.
