We are a local and long established ‘England Accredited’ football club, affiliated to the Cumberland FA, which provides a safe, fun environment for young people to enjoy the great game of football. The familiar red and white strips have been a regular sight at foot

ball pitches across Carlisle and beyond since the team was formed over 50 years ago, in 1970. All our coaches are qualified to at least FA Introduction to Football (Level 1) and are CRB/DBS approved with in date FA Safeguarding and FA First Aid qualifications. We have a thriving Junior section (with teams from U7s through to U18s) which compete in the Carlisle Glass Youth Football League. The aim being to offer a clear pathway from junior small sided games all the way through to our senior team, whose past glories include a famous 4-0 Cumberland County Cup victory over Carlisle United at Brunton Park in 2003, as well as being former members of the Northern Football Alliance League. We currently have two open age teams, 'Northbank 1970' who compete in the Premier Division of the the Carlisle Sunday League and 'Northbank Veterans' who compete in North/East Premier Division of the Cumbria Veterans Football League. The bank were very unlucky to come back empty handed after travelling to 24/25 Cumberland County Football League winners Maryport Athletic FC

With a few regulars missing, we knew it would be an uphill task versus strong opposition. It was of the lads who came to help us out, Tom Lucock who opened the scoring.
The hosts replied instantly with an equaliser and then capitalised on an error to take the lead within the first 15 mins of the game.

Things got even tougher for us when Thomas Towns was shown a red after 20 minutes, but the lads stuck in and battled for rest of the game and were disappointed not to get anything in the end.

Really positive performance from the lads, showing great grit and determination & not letting their heads go down. We always knew this season would be a huge challenge for the young squad, but week in week out they are getting more and more confident so the future is looking good.

🔴⚪️ Northbank FC launches new football sessions for disabled children.

Northbank successfully launched its new Comets football sessions last night providing a fun, friendly and inclusive environment for disabled boys and girls aged 5–11 to enjoy the beautiful game.

Comets is a recreational, pan-disability football programme for children aged 5 to 11. Pan-disability football brings together players with a broad range of impairments and health conditions, allowing children to play together in an environment that is welcoming, flexible and centred around their individual needs & enjoyment.

Our Weekly Comets sessions are
📅 Thursdays
⏰ 5pm - 5.45pm
📍 Harraby 3G Pens CA1 3SL

The sessions are open to disabled boys and girls aged 5–11, whether they are completely new to football or already enjoy playing.

With the first session now successfully completed, the club is looking forward to seeing Comets continue to grow and welcoming even more young players.
