Structuring your week in the gym can be one of the biggest challenges you face as a semi-pro footballer.

You can run the risk of not being able to move come gameday OR it gets sacked off completely which down the track certainly won’t help with your performance or help mitigate the risk of injury.

Here is an example of a structure I’d use if you TRAIN TWICE A WEEK and PLAY ONCE.

The individuals I work with online have their week tailored to their schedules and these are adapted in line with any last minute changes or when match minutes are on the lower side.

Time for a little re-introduction as we move into 2025, with a transition from JR Athletic Development to JR Physical Performance.

As much as I enjoy working with athletes, navigating the world of fitness can be a minefield and it is my firm belief that everyone should have access to effective training built on the principles of Strength and Conditioning.

I have decided to make this transition to make professional level coaching more inclusive and approachable giving the everyday athlete access to a high level of support as they prepare for an event or pursue a specific goal.

CLIENT FEEDBACK 🏋️‍♂️

Jake and I recently worked together for a 2 month period with the goal of increasing strength, muscle mass and making this an enjoyable process.

We broke down Jake’s training into two phases; an accumulation phase whereby higher volumes are the aim and foundations are laid and an intensification phase where we looked to push the loads lifted at lower volumes.

Jake’s effort and application through this period was second to none, and made even more impressive by the fact he was smashing out 90 hour work weeks in the outback! 🇦🇺

YOUTH SPEED SCHOOL⚡️

Alongside the 1-1’s sessions I am currently offering, I will now also be running a group session, starting this Friday!

These sessions will be designed to develop your technique to both increase speed and reduce the risk of injury.

As per the S&C sessions, this a limited opportunity with sessions running for 6-8 weeks!

EXCITING NEWS!

For the next 6-8 weeks I will be offering 1-1 in person Strength and Conditioning sessions at BC Fitness.

These will run alongside the Speed sessions I am delivering on the track.

Whether you’re simply looking for fresh ideas with your training, or have specific goals in mind (increase strength, develop power, enhance robustness) to prepare for an event / sport then please don’t hesitate to message!

SPEED KILLS ⚡️

Looking to gain the edge and get a little bit faster during the Off-Season and into Pre-Season?

These sessions will be designed to develop your technique to both help increase speed and reduce the risk of injury. They will also look to develop some of the key physical qualities that underpin speed.

This is appropriate for both youth (13+) and adults.
