DH Runners is an England Athletics affiliated running club based in Denton Holme, Carlisle. We welcome runners of all abilities and currently have weekly meetings on: Tuesday (10k) & Thursday (5k) night.

🎉 This week is Volunteer Week! 🎉

It’s the perfect time to celebrate the incredible people who keep our club and community running week after week.

A huge thank you to our amazing run leaders, who give their time to plan routes, carry out safety checks, and support everyone at group runs — rain or shine.

Thank you to our dedicated committee members, whose hard work behind the scenes helps our club thrive.

We’re also incredibly grateful to all our members who volunteer at parkrun and junior parkrun. These events simply wouldn’t happen without the fantastic volunteers who make them possible every single week.

And finally, thank you to those members who are always there for others — offering encouragement on runs, a listening ear, moral support, and helping make our club such a welcoming and supportive community.

Your time, energy, and kindness make a real difference, and we appreciate every single one of you. 💙🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Not just an awesome running club in Carlisle…. We do lots of other things too!

Last week some amazing members smashed the Coast to Coast challenge! And tonight some members joined our friends from Carlisle Tri Club for a swim in the lake…. Training for triathlons and aquabikes! 🏊🏽 🚲 🏃🏽‍♀️

A bumper weekend and it’s nowhere near over 👊🏼

Congratulations to Kerrie, Malcolm, Alison, Natalie, Kathryn and Matthew who took on The Lap yesterday. A 47 mile lap of Windermere, gorgeous scenery and amazing pit stops. You’ve certainly inspired a few to enter it for next year 😉

Our keen cyclists are on day 2 of their Coast to Coast trip and I know they’re looking forward to reaching Tynemouth later today. They’ve left Alston and the sun is shining, enjoy the ice cream when you get there 😎

A group of C2C supporters gave the alternative Whinlatter parkrun course a go… with the overall review being: “absolutely brutal” 😂

Huge congrats to Toby taking on the 112 mile Fred Whitton cycle 🚴🏻🗻

And finally, today saw the second West Walls Run Club session, with a few of our members heading along and making the most of the well-earned post-run refreshments 🍻

A big crew of our members headed over to Belfast for the weekend! Lindsay, Karen, Gill and Kev tackled the full marathon, while the rest of us took on the relay.

It turned into a brilliant getaway—some sightseeing, a few well-earned beers, and plenty of laughs along the way.
