Premier 7 a side league finished last Monday
In the final match of the season ProStandard managed to increase their 1 point lead to 4 points by defeating 9 time winners Inter Pirelli with an impressive 1-0 victory in the winner takes all showdown.

This week marks the 20th Anniversary of Astro Soccer Sixes.
A big thanks to everyone who has supported us and participated in the leagues, also a big thank you to the referees and everyone else involved in making things run smoothly over the years.
A special shout out to Richard Dixon, Nick Stobbs and Jo and Karen from Riverside Recruitment for all their help in the early days.
Who would have thought after all these years we'd still be going strong!!
Below is a picture of the Unwin Jones Partnership Team who have been involved in the league from day one, Team Captain Jez Marvin is the only player to have played in every single season since the start.

I can't believe that FIFA won't allow goal line technology. After seeing that incident in the Man City match. Their first goal wouldn't have stood if they hadn't scored with the rebound. The referees assistant behind the goal line is not working. How could he not see that the ball was 3 feet over the line. Why leave things like this open to human error. Surely everyone wants the correct decision in incidents like this. It's about time that FIFA mob moved into the 21st Century. Not sure that Platini is the right person to take the game forward.
