Against the clock…our first event of the season is fast approaching.

A chance to play some new people, competitive timed matches and the opportunity to come away £50 richer!

Saturday Junior Coaching ⏰

September is here which means our Saturday Junior Coaching is back. Our team had 4 weeks off to reset and we are super excited to be back in action this Saturday.

Saturday morning coaching is our open session for all juniors looking to play squash.

9-10am sees two session running side by side. Our minis who are exploring squash with lots of fun coordination games and our beginner session for those who are newer to the game learning the basics.

10-11am sees our more experienced juniors who are established and wanting to improve and compete.

The priority for all sessions is FUN. Improving our squash whilst making sure we mix in lots of things to keep everyone engaged and smiling.

We have a team of coaches and volunteers who lead all sessions. Please get in touch if you think Squash could be a good fit for your child!

Carlisle Squash Club Annual General Meeting!

Our AGM will be held on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 at 7.00pm in Carlisle Rugby Club.

We welcome all members to attend and find out what’s going on with the club and give your say on the things that matter!

We can smell the squash season in the air and what a way to get started…

Women’s Squash Week will be celebrated from 14th - 20th September and we’ve got everything covered.

Monday 14th September - Victoria will be giving out free 30 minute lessons for all Women. This will be done on a first come first serve basis, get in touch to secure your lesson.

Wednesday 16th September - Women’s group training open to non members to come and see the fun to be had. The session will start at 6.45pm.

Friday 18th September- We end the week with a tournament. A bit of fun and friendly competition to finish our week of celebrating Women and Squash. Please enter with Victoria by Monday 14th.

It’s been a fantastic summer but we can’t wait for September to get Squash Season back in action!

Junior Club Championships 2026 ✅

Yesterday we had our Junior Club Championships to celebrate the end of another fantastic season.

All juniors took to the court in great spirits and put into action all that we’ve worked on. For the coaching team it’s fantastic to watch everyone having fun, trying their best and playing some great squash.

Special shoutout to Finley Gordon, Curtis Grainger, Charlie Armstrong, Archie Holmes and Louie Rowe who all won their categories!

Congratulations to our most improved players of the year - Louie Rowe, Nathan Smith and Charlie Armstrong.

And finally congratulations to our players of the year - Molly Pipes, Oliver Rowe and Oscar Rubacs.

Huge thanks to all our juniors who come week in week out, trying their hardest and making each session good fun. Parents we know it’s a big commitment from you too so thank you to all!

Lastly but the biggest thank you of all to our coaching team of Wayne, Josh, Niall, Finn and Miles. Every Saturday the team turn up and put on fantastic sessions for the kids keeping them engaged and our squash courts rammed with kids - thank you all!

Saturday coaching isn’t quite done yet, sessions will carry on until 1st August so see you all back to it next week!

Northern Cup 2026 ✅

On Sunday 8 of our juniors travelled to Manchester to represent Cumbria competing against other northern counties.

Oliver Rowe, George Wilson and Jayden Pate all took part in the under 11 team. With a 5th player missing they were up against it but the boys all came away with plenty of experience and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Curtis Grainger, Tyler Pate, Flynn Sweeney, Bodhi McLean and Nathan Smith all took part in the under 13 team who after competing hard only went and took 1st place. What a fantastic achievement for the team and a brilliant day to show them all the hard work is paying off!

Well done to team Cumbria and our Carlisle boys 💪🏻
