We might not be racing tonight but there is no rest for the wicked! Lots of prep required for Saturday's North West Youth League event. The cabin's looking tidier and all the rider registration packs are done. Just the small matter of a hundred or so goody bags to make up now! 😱

RACING CANCELLED TOMORROW
Apols to those who had entered but numbers are very low and the weather forecast is poor so we have made the difficult decision to cancel. Entry fees already paid will be refunded via the BC system shortly though this can take a couple of days to show in your bank.
Once again, we're really sorry but think it's the only practical decision in the circumstances.

If you were born in 2009 or earlier, you can race with us this Thursday night as we have racing for ALL adult categories this week. The first race is for Cat 4s, and women of cat may also ride. This is an ideal race for anyone just starting out. Then we have an E/1/2/3 race. 2s and 3s, don't be scared to enter this race - you will be the majority! We may get one or two 1st Cat riders but otherwise this will be the second and third Cat riders that you all know and love! So why do we do it you may ask? Well most of our races are aimed at our "core" riders who are 2s, 3s and 4s but we do aim to provide something for everyone over the course of the series. We want anyone in our locality who wants to race get at least a couple of chances of a "home" race over the year and we do have a small number of 1st Cats who have supported our racing from the beginning - since they were in primary school in fact! But don't worry, you're not going to be mobbed by pro riders or anything, it's just a regular night so don't be shy!

Something a bit different today! Some of our regular riders and volunteers were out doing a spot of media work today. All will be revealed in due course...
Thanks everyone - hope you have all got dry and thawed out now. Even by Cumbrian standards that was something else! Hailstones in June...🙈
Also special thanks to Wolf Cycles for providing shelter- sorry about the soaking wet floor. 😳

There's a lot going on this week and the Youth event on Saturday is taking up a lot of planning time, but don't forget we have our normal Thursday night racing too! All adult Cats represented this week as we have a Cat 4 plus women of any Cat race first and then an E123. As ever, extra marshals are always welcome too!

Last chance to enter our Round of the North West Youth League on Saturday 13th June. Entries close at 16.00 on Sunday 7th. I have an absolutely insanely busy week next week cycling wise, between organising things and coaching so the closing date is final - no on the day entries for this one sorry. There is still room for entries in all categories but we'd particularly like to see more girls and U16 boys so if you know anyone who might be interested please give them a nudge. We're also still on the look out for a few extra marshals for this event - thanks to those who have already been in touch.
