Who We Are
Since 2010, CWSC has put Cumbria on the National map for disability sport.
We aren't just a club; we are a pathway for personal growth. Our members don't just win trophies-they gain the confidence to pursue university degrees and start their own businesses.

The Achievement
Our newest squad finished their debut season at the top of the National League. As we head into the 26/27 season, we want to maintain this momentum and continue providing life-changing opportunities for the disabled community in Carlisle and beyond.

We are looking for local partners to support our upcoming season through two simple tiers:

🏀 Home Game Sponsor (£250): Covers the cost of hosting a match in Cumbria.

Cumbria wheelchair sports club was formed 15 years ago to give sporting opportunities to disabled and abled bodied people.
We boast of a national league team and a development team in wheelchair basketball, we offer an opportunity to get involved with our club call us on 07827447274 Ray or 07915952104 Nicola for more details.

Boccia we run a session on a Wednesday night to give sporting opportunities to people with all disabilities in a warm and welcoming environment.

All the above are played at the Sands Centre Carlisle.
Wheelchair Basketball Thursday 7.30pm till 9.30pm also Saturday 11am till 12 noon.
Boccia Wednesday 6.30pm till 7.30pm.

The Mohawks team 11 from Cumbria who played in junior games on Sunday 29 September 2024 at Penrith Leisure Centre. All teams attending played fantastically and our next match day is Sunday 3 November 2024

It has been agreed that there will be no training sessions on Thursday 13th, 20th and 27th of June. Starting back on Thursday 4th July. Saturday sessions WILL remain on as usual so if you need a "Basketball Fix" then 12 - 1 it is 😉

Bells of the (Basket)balls
Last night were delighted to give something back to one of our long time supporters, Bells of Lazonby.

Sadly, after a long day in Management Team meetings, some of the delegates were unable to make it. However, the 5 that managed seemed to enjoy the "Team Building" fun activities we organised. Basketball Table Officials Desperately Needed!
Do you have a couple of hours a year to spare?
Would you like to help one of the biggest and most successful Wheelchair Basketball Teams in the country?
We are looking for people willing to complete Level 1 & 2 Table Officials course which we have receive funding for.
Once qualified we will be able to pay a small remuneration and travel expenses.
