The inaugural Doubles Dash is complete… and safe to say — this is now a thing.

Two courts. Eight players. 6 rounds. One game to 21. No excuses.

After a seriously competitive opening round and a reshuffle into Championship and Plate courts, it went right down to countback…

Huge congratulations to our Border Badminton players who competed at the English National Masters Championships in Hatfield this weekend!
Amazing to see our club so well represented on the national stage — and doing us proud throughout 💙💛

🏆*Beattie Parkinson Mixed Doubles Handicap*🏆

After a twenty year hiatus, the club's internal Beattie Parkinson Handicapped Mixed Doubles Tournament came back with a bang last season.

Club treasurer and all-round nice guy, Matt, took on the task of rejuvenating the prestigious event, bringing an extra frisson of excitement to club nights during the season.

A fantastic sixteen pairs entered, with handicaps (+/- starting scores) agreed before the first round kicked off. Matches were closely contested throughout the competition, culminating in the best-of-three set final between Sam & Becky and Matt & Holli.

It was Becky & Sam who came out on top in a tight three setter, a brilliant effort for Becky in particular, playing her first ever tournament.

Thanks must go to you the you the players and of course to organiser Matt. Well done for a great event. And watch this space for the 25/26 edition!

📣 Badminton Update – Thursday Sessions Pause for Spring/Summer

Hi everyone! Just a quick update — badminton is on tonight (8–10pm), but it will be our last Thursday session for the Spring/Summer season due to lower numbers recently.

But don’t worry — we’ll be back! Thursday sessions will return on 25th July, starting with a Ben Bootcamp to get us all match-ready for the new season 💪🏸 More details to follow soon.

Monday nights are unaffected and will continue as usual, 7:30–10pm every week, right through the Spring and Summer.

Hope to see you tonight — and on Mondays if you’re around!
