Congratulations to former England Junior girl Millie who has just been part of the GB squad that came 5th at the World Games in China,

Millie was a vital part of the England Junior squad in 2022 competing at the World Championships in Holland where she won a Bronze Medal in the 4x4.

This is proof that the England Junior set up is a great stepping stone to senior international tug of war, and you never know what opportunities it might lead to.

Congratulations to the whole squad!

Two wildcards have been given out as I believe these girls have great potential but need to see more of them in a competition environment before I include them in squad.

All the girls selected for the England junior squad is imperative that they attend the attend - NATIONAL LEAGUE FINALS - on the 24th August.

Brilliant standard of Junior Girls Tug of War yesterday at the development day, great to see so many junior girls competing at top level with their clubs yesterday and throughout the season!

Now for the near impossible task to select the squad for the world Championships!

I have countless videos to review from yesterday and throughout the season to analyse everyone’s performance and will post the team shortly,

Thank you to everyone who has participated throughout the season and driven the standard up!

Junior Girls 480 training and selection Day: Sunday 3rd August 2025.

Venue: Kempston Hammers S.C., Kempston, Bedford, MK42 7BN.

All pullers please note the following changes to the schedule by the association due to their attempt to accommodate everyone.

09:30 -10:15; classroom learning activity covering;
a) anti-doping
b) Nutrition
c) Update on TWIF rules

All pullers must be in the clubhouse for 09:30 to listen to the briefing:

SUNDAY 3 AUGUST - TUG OF WAR ASSOCIATION TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT DAY

Kempston Hammer Sports Club, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 7BN
9:30 am Start

There are three ladies & youth weight categories at the development day and pulled in the order 520 540 and 560,

I would like all junior girls wishing to be considered for the junior girls composite team to be available for a training session and skills test separate to the competition during the 540 only. I hope that teams and coaches can make provisions for this so all juniors can be considered for the squad. I want to thank the coaches for their continued understanding for the composite team formation.

I would like to see all juniors girls pulling in the 520 and 560. If any juniors girls are available and not pulling with their squads please let me know and I will try and assemble competitive squads for these two categories.
Claire will be there and would like to individually weigh all girls, this is to make sure the team will go for weight. If anyone is unsure about this please message myself or Claire privately and we can be discreet about it.
