Same but different this weekend. A new thing called deadly dozen. 400m run and an exercise x 12.
Bludi love the life! Love the kids seeing it. Bryanie and a few clients smashing it. You vs you. Everyone with their own reasons. Good is different for everyone. The process the real prize because it makes people train consistently.
Not setting the world alight but not aiming for the stars either. Just a dad who needs a hobby and needs a small focus outside of life. Don’t do much 30-60mins a day 4-6 days a week. However, probably haven’t missed many weeks of activity on the last fifteen years. It’s normal. Part of life. Holds me fairly competitive in these short races. Put lots of time into getting stronger since cutting back on triathlon and long distances. Eat loads, eat what I want. With two kids at home, working hard. No need to be too backward with food. Although, I have learned a lot about food, how much of this and that. Can work some stuff in my head without any detail or gadgets. Decent sleep, 3ltrs water a day, eat regularly. Don’t skip carbs and don’t skip greggs or wine (just joking ish).
Never cared what people say is right and wrong for fitness and health. You must eat this, or do this to look a certain way. Cool if it makes you happy but no point being too detailed or obsessive if it has a negative effect on quality of life. Stress from doing everything a certain way has more of a negative effect than doing a handful of things consistently for many years.
4th pairs with Llifon. 1st 40+ . Enjoying doing stuff as a pair as it’s a good way to push me and after the teenage years of football and rugby great to be sharing the suffering again.
A bit of a mad month coming. Triathlon next weekend, hyrox end of June a holiday and then 24hr team relay of Snowdon in July. Won’t win but I’ll do alright no doubt.
