A massive congratulations to Ethan Lock, who tonight became the first Xtreme Edges Alumni to play for The Cardiff Devils, taking to the ice in pre-season.

An incredibly proud moment for Ethan, his family, and everyone at Xtreme Edges who has been fortunate enough to be a small part of his journey.

Ethan is proof of what can happen when talent is matched with hard work, determination and the right attitude.

From developing through Xtreme Edges to stepping onto the ice with the Cardiff Devils — history has been made.

Tonight is going to be a very special night for Xtreme Edges.
A moment that represents far more than what happens on the ice.

It represents years of hard work.
Years of early mornings and late nights.
Thousands of hours on the ice.
Mistakes, setbacks, sacrifices and lessons learned along the way.

But most importantly, it represents what we have always believed at Xtreme Edges:

Talent can open doors, but attitude, work ethic and determination are what take you through them.

We constantly tell our players to work hard when nobody is watching.
Be coachable.
Be a good teammate.
Stay humble.
Keep turning up.
And never allow a setback to decide where your journey ends.

Tonight, we get to see exactly where that mindset can lead.

🏒 XTREME EDGES HISTORY! 🇬🇧

This week marks a truly special moment in the history of Xtreme Edges.

A huge congratulations to Theo Hillman, who has become the first player to complete the Xtreme Edges Learn To Play programme and go on to be selected for the Great Britain National Programme. 🇬🇧👏

Theo’s journey is exactly what Xtreme Edges was created for.

A player of very few words but immense determination, Theo first joined our Learn To Play programme while he was still balancing ice hockey with football. It didn’t take long for him to fall in love with the game, and once he made the decision to focus solely on hockey, his development accelerated year after year.

Theo has never been the loudest player in the room. Instead, he has let his actions do the talking. His dedication, consistency and willingness to learn have seen him progress from taking his very first strides on the ice to earning the honour of representing Great Britain.

For every young player currently in our Learn To Play programme, Theo is proof that there is no shortcut to success. With hard work, commitment, patience and the right attitude, incredible opportunities can follow.

Everyone at Xtreme Edges is immensely proud of what Theo has achieved. Not only has he reached a fantastic milestone personally, but he has also become part of Xtreme Edges history by showing exactly what is possible through our player development pathway.

Congratulations, Theo! We wish you every success with the GB National Programme and can’t wait to see where your hockey journey takes you next. 🇬🇧🏒

🏒 GB FUTURES CALL-UP! 🇬🇧

A huge congratulations to Ashton Buckley on his selection for the Great Britain Ice Hockey Futures U16 Team! 👏🇬🇧

Ashton’s journey is one we’re incredibly proud of. From learning to skate at a young age under the guidance of Head Coach Sam Motton, he became one of the very first players to develop through the Xtreme Edges programme.

His dedication, work ethic and commitment to improving every day have taken him from those early skating sessions to representing Great Britain, and his journey is only just beginning.

This season, Ashton embarks on an exciting new chapter as he heads to Epic Hockey Academy in Komoka, Ontario, after signing with their 18U AAA Prep Team for the 2026/27 season. 🇨🇦

More importantly, Ashton has become a fantastic role model for the next generation of players coming through Xtreme Edges. He shows that hard work, commitment and a great attitude are the foundations of success. Talent will open doors, but it’s your character and willingness to improve every day that keep them open.

Everyone at Xtreme Edges is incredibly proud to have played a small part in your development, and we know you’ll continue to represent yourself, your family and British hockey with pride.

📢 Tournament Update 📢

The response to our Czech Republic Tournament announcement has been nothing short of incredible.

We honestly didn’t expect this level of interest so quickly, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already registered their interest and supported the programme.

It’s fantastic to see so many families eager to give their children the opportunity to experience international hockey, challenge themselves against top European opposition, and create lifelong memories.

**If you’ve been thinking about registering, we’d encourage you to do so as soon as possible. We anticipate closing applications in the next 48 hours.**

While registering your interest doesn’t guarantee a place, it helps us plan accordingly and secure the best possible arrangements for everyone.

We’re excited to announce the opportunity for XE Elite to compete in another international tournament this year!

📅 21–23 December 2026
📍 Most, Czech Republic

This is a fantastic opportunity for our players to gain international experience, compete against teams from across Europe, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Eligible players:
🏒 Born in 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016

We know December can be an expensive time of year, but this trip could make the perfect Christmas present!

Package Includes:

✅ Tournament entry
✅ Return airport transfers (Prague ↔ Most)
✅ Return coach transfers (Cardiff/Swindon ↔ London Airport)
✅ XE Elite tournament kit
✅ 4 nights’ full-board hotel accommodation

✈️ Flights are not included.

📅 Camp Dates: 20th and 21st August 2026
⏰ Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm on both days

✅ 3 hours of ice time each day
✅ Fun and engaging off-ice activities
✅ Skills development
✅ A great opportunity to learn, improve and make new friends.
