WKKU Wado-Kai Karate Union

WKKU Wado-Kai Karate Union The WKKU is a Wado style association in Wales with seven clubs throughout the borough of Merthyr Tydfil.

Affiliated to the Welsh Karate Governing Body, a branch member of JKF Wadokai (Japan), and associated with FEW Wadokai (Europe) The WKKU is an association with 7 clubs throughout Merthyr Tydfil (South Wales) which teach traditional Wado Karate and also the sport element of Karate

The head of association is Gwyn Evans 7th Dan, who is supported by a team of accomplished instructors and coaches. Currently the WKKU has 16 classes per week; 4 & 5 year olds, juniors (6-13yrs), and also classes for adults

Members are provided with regular opportunities to grade as well as having access to a full structure of competitions from club level through to international events

The WKKU is a full member of Sport Wales' governing body for karate; the Welsh Karate Governing Body (WKGB), which in turn provides affiliation to the British Karate Federation (BKF)

The WKKU is also affiliated to JKF Wadokai in Japan
