A huge thanks to Sally Williams, Flagship Branch Manager, Monmouthshire Building Society, Cardiff Queen Street for this lovely message of support for us as a registered charity.

The building society has supported Rubicon in so many ways from offering us free space for our team days to sponsorship of our BTEC Dance students tee shirts and hoodies. Sally has also attended BTEC Dance performances at Rubicon and at the Wales Millennium Centre.

The Monmouthshire Building Society Charitable Trust have also supported us with several grants for us to be able to purchase sensory props for our practitioners, a PA system, a video camera, digital clocks and branded pens etc for our various careers events.

In addition Sally has also organised a dance session for some of the building society staff at the Queen Street branch as part of their Wellbeing Wednesdays initiative.

Our Stakeholder Manager has joined networking events at the building society which are attended by charities and businesses.

About the session and Grace.

The mighty juggling act of freelancing is a performance in and of itself. But how do we sustain and build our contracted work whilst developing our own creative voice? Grace is an interdisciplinary movement artist straddling Dance, Theatre, education and outreach. Over the last 20 years she's nurtured and morphed her career into a master of 'jack of all trades'. This session is a coven for all movers, a space to hear about Grace's work and come together to support and inspire new directions with some helpful tips, tricks and examples of diversifying your skill set. When the arts is in crisis, we must come together and find new perspectives on making and creating. This session is for the bold and brave, with a heavy dose of organised chaos.

As you may know Rubicon Dance is a registered charity and we aim to offer dance sessions for all ages and abilities and in a range of community contexts including schools, parks, community spaces, hospitals as well as at our base in Adamsdown.

Since April 2026 you have kindly donated £473.06 plus £84.90 in gift aid to the "Our Future Your Rubicon campaign".
