The SWPDL were proud to attend the WSA Sports Industry Awards last night, having been nominated in the 'Best Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative' category. We were delighted to be shortlisted and to finish among the final three nominees. While we were ultimately unsuccessful on the night, we extend our congratulations to the very deserving winners, !

A particularly pleasing aspect of the evening was recognising that, in comparison to the other shortlisted organisations, the scale of our operation is relatively modest, with significantly smaller resources and budgets. With this in mind, reaching the final three is an achievement we are incredibly proud of.

It was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with others across the sector, and we look forward to building on those new relationships, using the insights and connections gained to further strengthen our work and continue growing SWPDL to maximise its impact across Wales.

The SWPDL are incredibly proud to announce that we received an award in the "League of the Year" category in the FA Wales McDonald's Grassroots Awards. The award which gave the league "Highly Commended" status, just missing out to the South Wales Women's & Girls League who won the award outright. Congratulations to the both of us on this incredible prestigious achievement. Thank you for the nomination!
