Saturday evening saw the celebration of the 2025/26 season for the Old Illts seniors squad at the Gareth Edwards Lounge, Cardiff Arms Park.
120 people in attendance consisting of players and their partners, management committee, mini and junior coaches, ex players, supporters, club members and sponsors came together for a fantastic evening. Big thank you to guest speaker Phil Steele who had the full audience in laughter.
Congratulations to all award winners and nominees and everybody who came together for the evening.

Great to see a mixture of seniors, youth and 16s getting together in the off season @ UFIT gym for a conditioned session using the sleds, ski, row, echo etc & a competitive finisher on the C2 bike in teams of 3/4 too!! Big thanks to Geraint Webb for putting it together 💪🔰

An Old Illts invitational squad was assembled for the 75th Old Penarthians sevens tournament 13.6.26.

A great day out in the sun and a challenge for the squad pitting themselves up against semi and professional squads through the day 🔰

2026/27 Division 4 East Central league fixtures have been released!
1st XV start their campaign with a short trip up to Cyncoed to take on newly promoted Cardiff Met Athletic on 12th September.

The off season has allowed the senior management and committee to plan a number of club events in the build up to the season start to bring together some club cohesion starting with a Club climb up Pen Y Fan and ending with a Ladies Day one the first home fixture of the season which will be a senior and youth double-headed fixture 🫡🔰

🥁 🚨 SENIOR & YOUTH PLAYER SPONSORSHIP !!

Calling all local businesses and individuals who would like to be the first senior and youth player sponsors for the 2026/27 season. With it being a pilot scheme it’s a fantastic opportunity to secure both a senior and youth player for one single £50 sponsorship, so if you have a favourite player, number or happy for a lucky dip your sponsorship will be covered on all senior and youth team sheets, score cards and social media coverage through 2026/27 !! This will support both senior and youth player leisure kit bundles which will allow them to feel smart, play smarter!

Club touch is up and running for the off season. Great to see collaboration between seniors, youth, 16s and others from within the club 🔰🔰 Well done to Archie and Dontae getting touchies of the evening from each team 🫡🔰

With the 2025/26 season firmly closed out and presentation season underway the club season review is underway and starts with a thank you to all players, coaches, committees, management, sponsors, volunteers and supporters for contributing and bringing the club together from top to bottom. It couldn’t be done without each and everyone contributing 🫡🔰

The senior section are already looking forward towards next season 2026/27 and continue to build in the off season with promise. They welcome into the senior section the 2026/27 Youth team with plans firmly in place, a very exciting moment in time for everyone involved at the club.
