🚨 Entry deadline 23:55 this Wednesday 🚨
West Wales, it’s time to send it!
Entries for Round 7 of the Welsh Cyclo-Cross League at Cattlestrength Gym, Felinfach close at 23:55 this Wednesday, 5 November.
There will be no entry on the day (apart from the free Under-6s race), so if you’re planning to ride, now’s the time to get your name down.
This course is epic with fast grassland sections, off-camber turns, a mix of concrete and gravel, and even a spectacular indoor section that’s guaranteed to be a crowd favourite. Whether you’re chasing league points, getting back into racing, or just fancy trying something new, come and be part of it.
You can race on a mountain bike or a road bike with knobbly tyres, and if a section looks too tough, just pick up your bike and run through it.
📍 Cattlestrength Gym, Dolbeudy Farm, Felinfach, Lampeter

🕔 Entry cut-off 23:55 Wednesday 5 November
🎈 Free Under-6s ride (entry on the day)

We’d love to see some local riders take on the challenge and show what West Wales racing is all about.
Follow in the footsteps of the Tarling brothers. This is where it all began.

Important announcement:📣

😢It is with regret that we have to announce that Round 3 will not be taking place at the Forest of Dean.

😀However, in order to ensure we have a 5 round series we are pleased to confirm that we have permission to make the National XC at Margam Park on April 26th & 27th a round of the Welsh series.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🚵

This will mean that the timetable will be different to a normal Welsh round with racing spread over both days, see draft timetable below.

The events that will count towards the Welsh series are highlighted in yellow.

Entries for the U8, U10 and U12 will go live on the British Cycling website soon.

Entries for the U14 (Juvenile), U16 (Youth) and all Adult categories will be via the main National series page

All great things must unfortunately come to an end… Growing up (at least for this middle age admin…) seeing a brit in the pro peloton or near a podium was a rarity. Let alone a Welsh pro racer, or one that reaches World Tour level and the biggest race in the world. And wins it. Along with Olympic and World Champs track success, multiple podiums at Grand & World Tour races 🤯

What a journey it’s been, and a pleasure to watch you fly. Cheers G for being an incredible ambassador and role model for cycle racing in Wales, llongyfarchiadau enfawr on a phenomenal career, and here’s to an amazing final season swan song. Beers on us sometime 🍻
