Weekend Workshop Inversions and Arm Balancing

Learn the balancing and inversions poses that at first might not seem possible.
Beginners to yoga inversions generally think you need a ton of strength and flexibility to achieve these, but if you are regularly practicing our Hotpod flow, you have all the strength and flexibility you need to begin your yoga inversion journey.
But the next step is to develop 3 key principles in inversions, which we will cover in the workshop.
1. Find the tipping point to counter balance the body so lifting becomes much easier.
2. Engage dynamic tension through the body, mainly the shoulders, core, legs and feet, so you maintain lifting the body without excessive strength.
3. Develop kinetic awareness of the body being suspended in space by practicing being upside down, this is where a friendly teacher is needed to support you upside down, luckily for you that’s me Aaron.
If you feel you are not strong enough, or bendy enough, or simply not that good at yoga, then drop these negative thoughts and come along and have a go with a sense of fun and adventure, you will be surprised at where you find yourself.
