A bit about TRAIN WITH WINNIE

I've been a personal trainer since 10 years ago. Not much keen on public speaking and also not so fit in the school system. I was physically active which came from doing things like swimming and being involved in the volleyball team. Since I didn't have many ideas about what to do after graduating from school. I picked an office job. It gave me decent years of securi

ty and stable life. Many years after, I had a chance to move to Perth, Australia and started studying fitness to become a Personal Trainer. This was my chance that be seriously introduced to how to use and apply fitness training and resistance training professionally and I fell in love. It was one of the first times I'd ever felt competent as a person and I loved that I was up against myself and not someone else. It has given me a new perspective on fitness and nutrition. Then the next few years, I spent most of my time either in the gym or continuing to increase my knowledge about nutrition and fitness. After all these years of work experience in fitness, I'm grateful to now understand how tough it can be to fit family, career, friends and your health into life.

The golden rule of training. Training hard and hardest is not everything. We need to go with the full package:

Eating well, hydrating well and sleeping well
Respect the rep, muscles, and joints

Going heavy without good lift technique is nothing but damage to the build and body inside and out. Gain reverses. Don't mention eating bad will bring you no where. Train smart, eat smart and think about what you are doing every rep.

Walking is not strength training, nor is it Pilates, yoga, or riding a bicycle. Strength training is the most effective method to build muscles, which serve as a metabolic currency. Building muscles is essential for longevity. Ageing well is non-negotiable, isn't it?
