Jerry and John have collaborated to bring you stories about boxing greats we don't read enough about. Their personal recollections of Tony Zale, Jimmy Bivins, Lloyd Marshall, Mando Ramos, Archie Moore and so many others makes this book worthwhile. Plus, a recap of my all-time favorite movie, Body & Soul, along with a look back at the famed Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, kept me glued to the pages. Reading this book makes me want to go back in time and again fall in love with a sport than once captured the heart and imagination of an entire country. Where have you gone, Doyle Baird? And how many people get to write about "Wonderful" Willie Williams, who came to Philly in 1973 as a same-day substitute and boxed for me at the Spectrum. Wow!
