❤️🖤 LOSS ❤️🖤
A tough day against a strong St Peter’s side at the rec. Scoreline certainly doesn’t reflect the effort for most of the game!
First half St Peter’s set the pace of the game, coming out of the blocks quickly and retaining a lot of the possession and territory. We worked hard to capitalise on our opportunities in the opposing half to keep the score relatively tight, with a strong set piece getting us over, and some solo magic from Hayden at 10. HT - 12-28.
Slow to wake up first few minutes of the second half, we settled back into a rhythm and gained some more possession and territory to bring the score up to 19-35, we pushed deep into the 22 on another two occasions at this point, which could have shifted the momentum. But too many blunders which the opposing team capitalised greatly on to put the score way out of reach !
A decent performance, but lots of costly errors throughout, and we’ll need to work harder to put things right.
On the plus side, Captain Dan had a massive game back on his return to action from over a year out, and Massive congratulations to Aaron and Dion, who had their first caps today. Welcome boys ❤️🖤
