En Pointe Theatre Arts Professional Dance School Based in Cardiff. RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Modern, Contemporary Increasing students performance within exams.

En Pointe Theatre Arts is a professional dance school based in Cardiff for students ages 2.5 to adult. The school is established and run by Danielle Emms, RAD RTS, PBT Certified Teacher, ISTD Register Teacher. En Pointe Theatre Arts provides students with a dance education informed by Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics and neurodynamics. Miss Danielle strives to create a positive experience for the students she teaches whilst encouraging them to meet their personal best in technique and artistry through dance. The school offers students opportunities to participate in examinations with the RAD in Ballet pre-pointe classes, pointe classes, ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap and ISTD Contemporary Dance styles ensuring students have a well rounded dance education. Whether the students decide they want a career in dance or to dance for enjoyment, it is important to Miss Danielle this is achieved in a safe and informed enviroment. There is also the option for students to undertake one to one lessons if they wish to improve their technique further or for extra exam coaching.

Snow White Cast Announcement ❄️

We are excited to announce that En Pointe Theatre Arts Royal Academy of Dance Primary in Dance Ballet and ISTD Primary Tap student Marta will be performing the roles of D***y, Young Snow Whites Friend, and a Party Child within our December 2026 production of Snow White in the Paget Rooms, Penarth.

Marta began training at En Pointe Theatre Arts at age 2 in our Tiny Ballet classes, a quiet, focused, observant young dancer. Marta quickly transitioned to the RAD Pre-Primary in Dance Ballet syllabus and sat her RAD Pre-Primary in Dance Ballet Class examination at age 3, alongside her 5 and 6 year old peers.

Marta continues to thrive and progress, showing determination and focus as she strives for excellence in technique and performance in both ballet and tap.

Marta first performed in our December 2024 production and is now excited to participate in our Snow White production. Marta shared that she finds performing D***y fun because she can stay quiet, which suits her personality, while still being playful with her dance friends.

🩰Systems affect our progression ✨

A week ago, my car had two punctures, reminding me that the unexpected should always be expected; however, the most important thing is how we deal with it.

For us as a dance education provider, it has reminded us that systems become outdated, and this has slowly become the case with our payment system; as such, we are changing from a monthly payment system, which depends on the number of weeks in a month, to a monthly subscription model with fees split equally over a 12-month time frame from January 2027.

Meaning no more need to calculate fees based on weeks in a month or make manual payments via bank transfer. Instead, we will use a 12-month equal-payment subscription model, which makes budgeting for dance classes easier for our dance families.

Miss Danielle is working at Starbucks today while the car is being fixed, setting up our new CRM for the changeover, and we will contact each of our dance families individually to help them switch to the new system in preparation for January 2027.

🩰 ”Helping little kids go from quiet to confidence” ✨

En Pointe Theatre Arts Owner and Founder, Miss Danielle, asked Level 1 Future Dance Teacher Assistant Seren what her favourite part of the program is. Seren’s response highlights why our future teaching assistants are an incredibly valuable asset within our studio.

Sometimes new children arrive at their taster sessions shy or nervous about leaving their parents at the studio door. Our future dance teaching assistants play an important part in supporting this transition, helping little dancers feel confident, safe, and happy.

We recently received this feedback from one of our newest Tiny Ballet dancers' parents: “Lia seemed to really enjoy her first session! I was pleased that she went in on her own, with Seren’s support, as I would like her to use these classes to build confidence if possible”.

Lia is now registered for our Saturday Tiny Ballet classes from 10-10:30 am at Pontprennau Primary School. Lia continues to grow in confidence every week, and this past Saturday, she entered the studio independently.

Snow White Cast Announcement ❄️

We are excited to announce that En Pointe Theatre Arts Royal Academy of Dance Primary in Dance Ballet student Teysha will be performing the roles of Sneezy, Young Snow Whites Friend, and a Party Child within our December 2026 production of Snow White in the Paget Rooms, Penarth.

Teysha began training at En Pointe Theatre Arts in September 2024, at 3 years old, in our Tiny Ballet classes, with a bubbly, confident personality and a focus on determination in her ballet technique and artistry from the outset. We are excited for Teysha to bring the character of Sneezy, along with Young Snow Whites Friend and a Party Child, to life in our production of Snow White.

Teysha enjoys participating in our community performances regularly, sharing the magic of dance with others. This is Teysha's first-ever production in a theatre setting, which we know Teysha is excited for. To date, Teysha completed her RAD Pre-Primary in Dance Ballet Class Examination at age 4, achieving the maximum marks attainable, a testament to Teysha's dedication and determination as a young dancer.

Snow White Dwarfs: Carlotta (RAD Grade 1 Ballet and ISTD Grade 1 Tap); Matilda. (RAD Grade 1 Ballet)Keira (RAD Primary Ballet and ISTD Primary Tap); Ziva (RAD Grade 1 Ballet); Nyra (ISTD Grade 2 Modern); and Marta (RAD Primary Ballet and ISTD Primary Tap), along with Level 1 Future Teacher Assistant Isabelle, standing in for Teysha, started their rehearsal today with a drama game to encourage them to work as a team whilst getting into character.

Though the game may seem relatively simple, as on the surface it is saying the character's own name and choosing someone else to walk to it helps develop skills required when working as part of an ensemble during a production, including:

🌈 Teamwork and collaboration
💜Eye contact
🌟Focus and concentration
🩷 Resilience
💫Reaction time and rhythm

We are proud of how well this group of Dwarfs works as a team. As they come from a range of different classes, they are not used to working together; however, the support, encouragement, and collaboration shown are outstanding for dancers ages 5 through 9 with differing abilities.

Dewi Dragon came home with Royal Academy of Dance Grades 1 and 2 ballet; Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Grade 1 Tap and Grade 2 Modern Theatre incorporating contemporary; and Level 1 Future Dance Teacher Assistant. Isabelle attended Snow White rehearsals at school today with our main cast, including solo rehearsals, small-group roles, and pas de deux.

Dewi had fun playing with balls, participating in warm-ups, being an audience member, and joining in some choreography with our dancers as a special guest cast member for one day only before he returns to school tomorrow.

Snow White Cast Announcement ❄️

We are excited to announce that En Pointe Theatre Arts Royal Academy of Dance Primary in Dance Ballet and ISTD Primary Tap student Keira will be performing the roles of Grumpy, Young Snow Whites Friend, and a Party Child within our December 2026 production of Snow White in the Paget Rooms, Penarth.

Keira began training at En Pointe Theatre Arts in September 2024, at 3 years old, in our Tiny Ballet classes as a shy young dancer, and we have had the pleasure of watching Keira grow not only as a dancer but as an individual, in confidence, self-esteem, and personality. Today Keira is a happy and bubbly child, and we have given Keira the challenge of performing the role of grumpy, which definitely comes with giggles, which we love because why can't grumpy giggle?.

Keira participated in her first production at En Pointe Theatre Arts in December 2024, and she also enjoys participating in our community performances regularly, which takes her into care homes to share the magic of dance with others.

Snow White Cast Announcement ❄️

We are excited to announce that En Pointe Theatre Arts ISTD Grade 2 Modern Theatre incorporating Creative Movement student Nyra will be performing the role of Bashful within our December 2026 production of Snow White in the Paget Rooms, Penarth.

Nyra commenced her training at En Pointe Theatre Arts in 2024 and is very gentle and quiet-natured whilst displaying excellent focus and determination on her journey towards excellence in technique and performance. We have enjoyed watching Nyra's confidence grow and develop as she has progressed through both the ISTD Primary Modern Theatre and ISTD Grade 1 Modern Theatre Examinations under the guidance of ISTD Mentor Miss Danielle.

Nyra is no stranger to the stage and previously performed in our December 2024 production.
