Paddle with the Stars | Peak Challenge 2026

Fancy receiving some slalom coaching from some of the Britain's best young slalom athletes?

As part of the Peak Challenge, junior paddlers will be able to sign up to a coached session with Luc Royle, Sophie Forster and Alex Cleator.

£10 entry for juniors for three days of competition, plenty of water time, coached session and an event memento.

🥇 EUROPEAN CHAMPION! 🥇

Massive congratulations to Math Cradock, who has been crowned Junior Men's European Freestyle Kayaking Champion at the 2026 European Championships in Lieksa, Finland! 🇬🇧

Competing against the best young freestyle paddlers in Europe, Math produced an incredible performance when it mattered most, scoring 1031.67 points in the final to secure the gold medal and the European title.

For those who know Math's journey, this achievement is the result of years of dedication, hard work, travel, training and a genuine passion for the sport. From supporting younger paddlers and volunteering at events to representing Great Britain on the international stage, he embodies everything that's great about our paddling community.

We're incredibly proud to have watched him grow into one of Europe's top freestyle athletes.

Congratulations, Math. European Champion has a pretty special ring to it! 👏

What a weekend at Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Centre and Club - thank you so much to Gareth and all his team... the river was at a fantastic level and the sun shone the whole weekend!

Saturday saw the Welsh Champs, with trophies and medals galore for Seren Dwr paddlers... PLUS

Promotions for:
Rowan Cysewski Light to Div 1 C1M
Emily Darlington to Div 2 K1W
Huge congratulations to you both!!

Fantastic results for our paddlers, with club members participating in 59 races over the weekend! Wow - we are so proud of you all!

Special mention to:
New Div 3 paddlers:
Steffan Jackson, Tom Miller and Sylvie Mcdonald making their debut on the river.

New Div 4 paddlers:
Gwen Mcdonald, Lewis Morris and Finley Blofeld on the lake.

Club coach Andrew who made sure the Div 4 paddlers had the most awesome weekend ever! Plus Raoul and Tavi who looked after paddlers on the river.

All the parents who did laps carrying boats! Hope your shoulders recover soon.

Math is through to the Finals with a 2nd place in the semi finals at Paddle Europe Freestyle Championship in Lieska! We are incredibly proud and the group whatsapp is buzzing!

Symonds Yat Division 2/3/4 run from Biblins

Wow, what an adventure! There was racing galore – and also river crossings, open canoes, walking and caving thrown in…
And for Seren Dŵr lots of success with promotions for
• Ioan Sutherland (to Div 2 K1M)
• Louis Cousins (to Div 1 K1M)
• Harrison Morton (to Div 1 C1M)

And wins from Emily Darlington (both days in Div 3 K1W), Rowan Cysewski Light (1st and 2nd in Div 2 C1M) and Izabella Starka (1st and 2nd in Div 2 C1W) alongside fantastic results from Evan Tully (two 4ths), Freddie Davies and Aneurin Friston Kemble! Fabulous paddling all – you did the club proud!

A huge shout out to Mike Mitchell and all the volunteers from Wyedean Canoe Club! What an amazing event! And to everyone from Seren Dŵr that helped in control and on the river bank too. Thank you! Together it’s you guys that make the event possible!

A brilliant weekend at Langham Farm for Seren Dŵr, with 17 paddlers taking part across Wildwater racing, team events and Div 3/4 slalom.

There were plenty of highlights, from first-time river paddlers and first-time racers gaining confidence on the water, to some fantastic results across the weekend. Congratulations to Ioan Sutherland on winning Div 3 K1M, Aneurin Friston-Kemble and Riley Wilford on their Wildwater C2 victory, and Evan Tully on earning promotion to Div 3 C1M.

One of the most inspiring stories came from Gwen McDonald, who paddled a kayak for the first time on Saturday before racing in Div 4 on Sunday.

Most of all, the weekend was about supporting each other, trying new things and enjoying time on the water together.
