This weekend I am very proud to be doing my bit carrying CBK’s heaviest Kayak with the Cardiff British Sub Aqua Club crew, to raise money for the RNLI and raise awareness of water safety and the great contribution and service the RNLI and other volunteers do for our communities and country. Thank you.
Lots going on when we get to Barry, so please come down if you can. Please support us and the RNLI through the link on the poster.
Many thanks

Under water video of Cardiff's very own shipwreck, the "Louisa"
We have had some calm weather in Cardiff Bay recently and the water clarity has been clear enough to see the shipwreck of the "Louisa" located at the mouth of the Taff. When this part of the river was tidal, you could see this ship every day, now it is always submerged and hidden from view, not any more:)

Cardiff Bay Kayaking is open and we are taking bookings for the Spring and Summer. To reserve your urban kayaking adventure exploring Cardiff from a different perspective, please visit our website at: www.cardiffbaykayaking.co.uk

Out this afternoon driving the boat for Rowing coach Ben from CBWAC at Channel View. Just a bit of training, getting to know the boat with Ben showing me how to support the rowing crews. This is all for 5th April when I will be driving one of the support boats for the Cardiff Varsity rowing regatta. Sorry no Kayaking tours on the day because the river will be closed. Wish Dad was around to see this😀🚣🏻‍♀️

Been a bit of an Aqua Womble this weekend, picking up some of the unwanted plastic floating around in Cardiff Bay.

Today’s paddle proves that in the outdoors, even though you may have visited a place lots of times and know the area well, there is always something new to see. The Shipwreck Louisa, aka Louisiana showed its self today, because the water clarity in the River Taff and Cardiff Bay was exceptional. I have been mentioning this ship on my kayaking tours for ages and have even got an old photo of it on my tour info sheet. Today was the 1st time I have actually seen it! Originally built in Canada in 1851, the wreck could been seen when the tide went out. Now it is completely submerged and a protected wreck.
Quite cool I think
