🌴☀️ HOLIDAY’S OVER… TIME TO PAY THE PRICE. 🚴😂

By the time Round 5 comes around, the suitcases will be unpacked, the tan will be fading, and those “holiday calories don’t count” decisions may have started catching up with you… 🍕🍦🍺

We’ve all been there… one too many ice creams, one too many buffet breakfasts, and suddenly Round 5 is the perfect excuse to get the legs turning again.

⚡ A new chapter begins…

For more than 30 years, Maindy Flyers has helped young riders discover a love of cycling.

Now we’re taking the next step.

We’re proud to launch Watts Occurring Racing our new Under-19 junior racing team that will compete across the UK and Europe from 2027.

The team has been created to provide a pathway for talented young riders while staying true to the values that have always defined Maindy Flyers.

🚴 Developing outstanding young riders the right way.

Over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing the riders, our partners and our plans for the future.

🚴 Round 5 Entries are NOW OPEN! 🚴

With just two rounds remaining of the 2026 Llandow Revival Series, now’s the time to get your entry in.

📅 Round 5
Wednesday 26th August
Entries are now open via British Cycling.

From youth racing through to the adult categories, we’ve loved seeing the racing, the atmosphere and the support throughout the series. Let’s make the final two rounds the biggest yet.

Then it’s all building towards our season finale on Sunday 13th September, a full day of racing with every race taking place on the main circuit. It’s going to be a fantastic way to finish the series.

Round 6 entries will be online soon, but for now, secure your place for Round 5.

Congratulations to those who have been offered a place on the team. We can’t wait to begin this journey with you.

To everyone who wasn’t successful this time, thank you for applying. The standard was incredibly high, and making the final decisions wasn’t easy. Selection is just one moment in a rider’s journey. We look forward to seeing all of you continue to develop and achieve great things in the years ahead.

We’d love your thoughts… 👇

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported the Llandow Revival Series so far. Bringing regular circuit racing back to Wales has only been possible because riders, volunteers and supporters have got behind it.

One thing we’ve noticed is that youth racing has remained incredibly strong, while adult entries have dipped over the last couple of rounds.

There could be lots of reasons. Last night’s hot weather, the England World Cup semi final, summer holidays, universities finishing, or maybe something else entirely.

Rather than guess, we’d love to hear from you.

If you haven’t raced recently, what’s been the main reason?

• Timing?
• Cost?
• Race format?
• Other commitments?
• Something else?

We’re already planning the final two rounds and genuinely want to make the series as good as it can be.

Please let us know in the comments or send us a message if you’d rather do it privately.

Thanks again for all your support. We’re really encouraged that youth racing continues to thrive. We’d love to understand what we can do to help grow the adult fields again. 🚴💙

A few more photos from Round 4 of the Llandow Revival Series.

It was great to see some fantastic racing across the evening.

In the Under 16 race, Talan Jones took the win ahead of former Maindy Flyer , with Maindy’s rounding out the podium in third.

The Open Cat 2/3/4 race saw a clean sweep for Maindy. Former Flyer and now club coach Gethin Price attacked early before being joined by another former Flyer and coach, Iestyn Jones. The pair worked brilliantly together, with Iestyn taking the win. Behind them, Under 16 rider Hedd Griffiths , racing for the second time that evening, bridged across from the bunch and held on for an impressive third place.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to Llandow last night.

To everyone who raced, marshalled, signed riders on, took photos, helped set up and pack away, or simply came along to support, thank you. We couldn’t do it without you.

It was another great evening of racing with a brilliant atmosphere, and that’s down to everyone who gives up their time to make it happen.

📍 Important Sign On Update for Tomorrow’s Llandow Revival Series

Please note that ALL riders will sign on at the Main Circuit sign on building tomorrow.

❌ There will be NO sign on at the Karting Circuit.

This includes U8, U10 and U12 riders, who would normally sign on at the kart circuit.

We’re a little short on sign on volunteers, so we’ve combined everything into one location to help the evening run smoothly.

✅ Please allow a little extra time before your race to collect your number and timing chip.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting the Llandow Revival Series. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow! 🚴
