Boxhead and Bev: Two-Man Relay Swim Across the English Channel
Sometime between the 28th and the 30th of June, depending on the weather and sea conditions Gareth and Iain will take on the extraordinary challenge of swimming the English Channel as a two-man relay team.
This iconic 21-mile swim between England and France will test both their physical endurance and mental resilience, with each of them alternating in the water as they work together to complete this monumental feat.
They are undertaking this challenge not only to push their own personal limits but also to raise awareness and funds for two causes that are very close to their hearts…
They are proudly supporting Phoenix 681 FC, a community-driven football club dedicated to making a difference to people suffering with Parkinson’s Disease and Cardiff Critical Care Department, a vital service that provides life-saving care to those in need.
Training for this swim will be demanding, but the motivation to support these incredible organisations has kept them focused and determined. The journey will require teamwork, dedication, and a strong sense of purpose and they are excited to take on the Channel to raise awareness and make a meaningful impact.
They’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to swim for such important causes and are looking forward to the challenge ahead. Thank you for your support in advance, they can’t wait to dive, literally into this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
