Curry night and sleepover with brother Rej. If you don’t know Rej, he had a stroke and agains all odds survived and now rehabilitating to get back on the mats. 🫡💪 I look forward to that day so much. 👊 which is one of the reasons I started Omnia Cresco CIC so we can get critical grants to upgrade the facilities to assist disabled students. So we honour our founder Grand Master Carlos Gracie Jr commitment to Jiu-Jitsu for everyone. 🔺

🚑 EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK – CERTIFIED ONE-DAY COURSE

Through Omnia Cresco CIC, we’re pleased to offer a certified Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course for just £50 per person.

📅 Mon 24th & Tuesday 25th August
⏰ 19:00 – 2200 2 x evening classes.

This is open to anyone who would like to gain a recognised first aid qualification and, more importantly, learn potentially life-saving skills.

You never know when you might be the person who needs to provide critical emergency care to a family member, friend, colleague, child or even a complete stranger.

🚑 WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

The course provides 6 hours of Emergency First Aid at Work training, delivered on two evenings 1900 - 2200 Mon/Tue 24/25th August.

You’ll learn practical skills including:

* ❤️ CPR and how to use an AED/defibrillator
* 🚑 How to assess an emergency and safely manage a casualty
* 😮‍💨 How to respond when someone is choking
* 🩸 How to control serious bleeding and wounds
* 🧠 How to help an unconscious casualty
* ⚡ How to recognise and respond to seizures
* ⚠️ Recognising and managing shock
* 🔥 First aid for minor burns and scalds
* 🩹 Dealing with cuts, grazes and minor injuries
* 🧤 Preventing cross-infection and safely using first-aid equipment
* 📝 Understanding the responsibilities of a workplace first aider

No previous first aid experience is required.

Whether you need the qualification for work or simply want the confidence to know what to do when somebody needs you, these are skills that could genuinely make the difference in an emergency.

Big news this July from the 6th🥋 Our new timetable is here — and there’s now a place on the mats for everyone at Gracie Barra Cardiff. Bring the whole family to Family BJJ (Mon–Thu, 5:30–6:30pm) and train side by side, sign the kids up for our After-School Confidence & Development Club (Mon & Wed, 4:30–5:30pm) to build real confidence and focus, join our women-only Ladies Self-Defence class (Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30pm) with no experience needed, or come join us for Gi, or No-Gi classes) In a school that feels like a family.
