It was a productive weekend for Earlswood Rangers, with both the Saturday and Sunday sides putting in strong performances and coming away with positive results. 💚

SATURDAY - A POINT EARNED THE HARD WAY 💪🏻

The Saturday side produced a fantastic comeback to earn a point away from home against Lisvane Panthers at Heath Park.

The Wood got off to a flying start as Anthony Jones found the back of the net to put Earlswood 1–0 up and give the visitors the perfect start.

Lisvane responded to bring themselves level before completing the turnaround and taking a 2–1 lead. With the Wood now chasing the game, the lads showed tremendous character and refused to let the result slip away.

And they got their reward.

Josh Crosbie stepped up to fire Earlswood level at 2–2, completing the comeback and securing a hard-fought point on the road.

A fantastic display of determination from the Saturday side, who battled right until the final whistle to make sure they came away from Heath Park with something to show for their efforts.

A brilliant debut from Curtis Janes, who put in an impressive display on his first appearance for the Wood and was deservedly named Man of the Match. 👏🏻

SUNDAY - MORGAN MAGIC MOTORS EARLSWOOD TO THE TOP 💪🏻

Earlswood Rangers travelled to Pontprennau looking to keep their unbeaten record going in the Lazarou premier league with a game against league newcomers Welsh Warrior.

The Earlswood were forced into several changes with players unavailable and Macauley Morgan was handed a start after his hat trick off the bench last week. The Earlswood started positively and a long ball to the back post found Macauley Morgan who stepped inside his marker and sent an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner of the goal to put the Earlswood ahead.

The Earlswood continued to push for another goal but were thwarted by some good defending from the home side. And Welsh Warrior got themselves level after a great breakaway from Cody Covill down the left hand side saw him slide the ball into the net.

Both teams looked to take the lead and Earlswood hit both the crossbar and post as they searched to go ahead and finally they got their goal after Leighton Russ found Macauley Morgan twelve yards out and he slotted the ball into the left hand side of the goal.

The second half started with Earlswood probing to get another goal to give them some breathing room and after a free kick was awarded quick thinking by Macauley Morgan played a quick free kick through to Toby Yebdri who slid the ball into the goal. And Earlswood were starting to make their pressure count as a corner kick from Leighton Russ was swept home by Joe Morgan.

Despite the deficit Welsh Warrior pushed to bring themselves back into the game but were thwarted by some excellent defending from the Earlswood backline. And the Earlswood made the result safe with ten minutes to go as Macauley Morgan and Leighton Russ linked up brilliantly down the left hand side and Russ’s ball into the box was taken down by Morgan who slammed home to complete his second hat trick in two games.

And with the game coming to a close Earlswood added another goal with Cam Balfour setting Toby Yebdri free down the right hand side and he played a great ball across the six yard box for Josh Crosbie to tap into an empty net. The Earlswood ran out comfortable winners in the end with credit going to Welsh Warrior for never giving up despite the score.

Man of the match this week went to Cam Balfour after an all action display in the middle of the park. 👏🏻

EARLSWOOD RANGERS ON CLOUD 9! ☁️💚

What a performance from the lads! 🔥

Earlswood got off to a flying start, with two quick-fire goals putting the Dragons under pressure from the off.

Gareth Courtman opened the scoring inside the first five minutes with his first goal of the season, firing a low strike past the Dragons keeper from around 20 yards. ⚽️

Luke Hodge and John Crosbie soon added to the tally, making it 3–0 and leaving the Dragons struggling to deal with the relentless pressure from the Earlswood attack.

And it wasn’t long before number four arrived. Shane Rees unleashed an absolute top-corner screamer from 30 yards, leaving the Dragons keeper with no chance as the ball rattled the net. 🚀

Earlswood came out for the second half with the gaffer making two changes, including handing Macauley Morgan his Earlswood debut.

And what a debut it was! 👏🏻

Macca announced himself in style, completing a sensational 15-minute hat-trick to take Earlswood to 7–0. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

But the lads weren’t finished there.

Luke Hodge capitalised on a defensive mistake to grab his fourth goal of the season, producing a brilliant bottom-corner finish.

Then Cordell Kiyaga got his just rewards, rising at the back post to head home and make it NINE. 💥

A huge 9–0 victory, another statement from the lads, and Earlswood Rangers move to the top of the Lazarou Premier League! 🟢⚫️

What a way to do it.
