👨👩👧👦 FAMILY BJJ — two mats, one family
Kids train on Mat 1, adults on Mat 2, at the same time, Mon–Thu. No more watching from the sidelines — train side by side and drive home together buzzing. Free taster on every class, and beginners are always welcome.
👊 LADIES' SELF-DEFENCE — Tuesdays, women-only
A friendly, judgement-free room where every woman starts as a beginner. Learn practical, real-world skills to stay safe and get away — plus the confidence, fitness and calm that come with them. No experience needed, no pressure, no "get fit first." Just you and women who've got your back. £40/month or £13 per class.
🛡️ ADULTS' SELF-DEFENCE & BJJ — all levels, Mon–Thu
Our fundamentals are built on genuine self-defence: the practical skills to protect yourself and the people you love. Whether you want to get fit, de-stress, or simply feel safer walking home, you'll learn at your own pace with a team that supports you. Gi & No-Gi, live training and competition for those who want it — never required.
🎯 AFTER-SCHOOL CONFIDENCE & DEVELOPMENT CLUB — only 12 places
A small group built around personal development, focus, resilience and real self-defence. Strictly 12 children, 3-month commitment, Mon & Wed 16:30–17:30. Spaces are limited and go quickly — once the term's full, that's it.

Who's teaching your children?
Just as important as skill — your child's safety. Our Head Instructor, Professor Rik Swaine, holds an Enhanced DBS and is qualified in Health & Safety and Safeguarding, so your loved ones are always in safe, experienced hands.
Rik is a first-degree Gracie Barra black belt under Professor Salvo Pace. Before Cardiff, he served as a British Army Commando, then spent over a decade as a close-protection officer in the Middle East — running maritime anti-piracy operations and teaching self-defence, fi****ms and weapon-disarming. He founded the first BJJ school in Baghdad and holds a Master's in Security and Risk Management. That real-world experience is what your family learns from, every single session.
We’re also proud to support and the wider community — using Jiu-Jitsu to rebuild the confidence and wellbeing of veterans, serving military and emergency services personnel. No one should fight life’s battles alone. 🙏
