Fantastic morning of tennis followed by an excellent brunch served up by Andy & Alex from 24th Dorking Scouts. Great to see so many at the club....the offer of food works wonders!

Another good week of tennis in Capel. TNT on Tuesday nights continues to be well supported, with a flurry of great competitive games. The format of changing partners as well as opponents for 20 minutes matches makes for challenging but fun tennis. The week culminated with bank holiday weekend and the Mixed Doubles Tournament. A Sunday afternoon of great tennis with again the challenge of different partners for each of the 7 rounds, the best of 6 games and alternating lady and man serving first. The format maintains a balance of players giving everyone a chance to amass points and reach for the ultimate in prizes, a £100 scratch card! A great afternoon of fun tennis with everyone enjoying not only the good weather, but the release of meeting and socialising with people again (observing Covid safe rules of course). Considering the weather that rolled in on Monday, Sunday afternoon was fantastic, we had a slight threat of rain but it held off and we played without interruption. Well done David for organising and running of the event and of course arranging the weather! 😊 And of course well done to the winners of the event.🍾

A little late but another great week of tennis. The highlight has got to be the new Tuesday evening format. An explosive session of tennis, courtesy of TNT and terrific organising by Sharon on the night. All four courts in play, doubles on each, 25 minutes of play, sudden death deuce and new partner and opponents each match. Challenging, frustrating and great fun. The list for this Tuesday was full within one hour of opening Sunday evening, everyone wants to join in.

Sunday tennis this weekend was fantastic, great weather and company. Room for a few more, two courts were barely used. Don't miss out on the good weather, before Summer starts!
