Training 8-10pm Mondays & Thursdays in the Main Hall at Kent Sport
Korfball is a Dutch ball sport, with similarities to both netball and basketball. However, korfball is a mixed gender sport (teams are comprised of an even split of boys and girls), so it is perfect to bring along your flatmates and friends. We know that many students have never heard of korfball before, so we will start you off f
rom the absolute basics and gradually help you learn more
At the University of Kent we play both in BUCS competitions (against other UK universities), and in a local Kent league on Sundays. In April we go to the Netherlands to play in the social Attila tournament against European teams, and we also spend a few days exploring Amsterdam. The variety of fixtures means you can choose how competitively you want to play korfball
In the 2021/22 season, our first team came 2nd out of 52 university teams at the BUCS Nationals Championships where we played at UEA's campus in Norwich. This was a major success for the club, and we hope to continue to play at a similar standard, whilst also having fun! Aside from actually playing korfball, we are very much a social club. We frequent Woodys after training sessions, as well as Vensdays and NXTs each week. But we also like venturing off campus and making the most of what Canterbury has to offer. As well as completing bar crawls, we also have fun socials that don't involve drinking - we especially enjoy visiting the local beaches for barbecues when the weather is nice, or going to indoor activities like trampolining during the colder months
UKC Korfball is a growing club and a close family of friends where new members are always very welcome. Whether you want to play for fun, play competitively or want to socialise then join us โ no one is ever turned away and players of all abilities are guaranteed a place in our teams! Join us both on and off the court and make the most of your university experience
If you have any questions or would like some more info, feel free to send us a message on Facebook or Instagram (), or send us an email on [email protected]

All are 8-10pm in the Main Hall in Kent Sport, and will be followed by an optional visit to Woodys to get a chance to get to know each other a bit better!
