There's one intervention the data keeps backing. Most people still don't do it.

Strength training, in the studio, two sessions a week, for the rest of your life. Bone density. Muscle mass. Balance. Independence past 70. The data sits there year after year, plain as anything. Across the UK, less than a third meet the muscle strengthening guideline. Most of the rest haven't found a way in yet.

We coach a private studio in Canterbury, and the members who started lifting at 50 are the most confident in the room at 65. The body keeps a ledger. Strength is what shows up at the bottom of it.
