so my aim is to get people out walking or swimming & enjoy the beauty on their doorstep, with the added incentive of homemade cake! ��� what's not to like! I've always loved walking; going on adventures, but in 2015 I stepped it up a gear to train for the Thames path challenge 100k in 24 hours. I came in just under that , but the hours of training walks really gave me a new look at Kent.

After the storm. Thankfully we didn’t get any sewage dumping into the sea here but it was a sandy low tide by the time we got a swim . Hottest so far this year at 19.4 .

April 2020 when this field was earmarked as stage 2&3 for building. The former farmland had been cleared and it looked bleak. The building firm went bust after not quite finishing stage 1 .
Last 2 pics - the same footpath yesterday. I can’t tell you how beautiful the whole field is now ( as I’d need a drone !) self seeded wildflowers and trees. The birds … the foxes. It’s amazing!

Popped over to whitstable to meet friends for a welcome swim on the incoming tide in the heat . So so warm (estimated at 17 at least! )over this side compared to out fast waters. Very busy as you can imagine . How fabulous to get a scorching bank holiday after such a wet winter.
