Why we start with a trial

This isn’t a test period or a cut-down experience.

It’s a supported trial designed to help you feel confident, cared for and clear about whether our coaching is right for you.

For six weeks, you’ll experience the full depth of our service, so there are no surprises.

What’s included in your 6-week trial

You’ll train alongside our members in our small-group sessions, with access to up to 3 coached sessions per week.

Sessions are calm, focused and fully coached, with clear guidance so you always know what you’re doing.

In your first week, you’ll complete:
•A starting check-in, so we understand your goals, concerns and training history
•Optional measurements, for those who want a physical baseline

This helps us tailor support and gives you a reference point for the weeks ahead.

Early in the trial, you’ll complete a nutrition consultation form so we can personalise guidance to your needs.

You’ll receive:
•Your individual macro targets, with a strong focus on protein to support strength and muscle health
•Access to a short nutrition video series to help you get started in a simple, non-overwhelming way

This sets a strong foundation — especially for women who are navigating weight loss, menopause, or using GLP medications.

By the end of six weeks, most women have:
•Built confidence with strength training
•Felt what it’s like to be coached, not shouted at
•Learned how training and nutrition fit into their life

At that point, we’ll talk about:
•Whether continuing as a member feels right for you
•What level of training & support suits your lifestyle

There’s no pressure.
We believe staying should feel like a natural next step, not a decision you’re pushed into.

If you’re new here, this is what we’re about.

We coach women aged 35+ (many 45–65) who want to feel stronger, healthier and more confident in their bodies — now and for the future.

Most of the women we work with:
• Are new to strength training or returning after a long break
• Want to lose weight and feel better moving day to day
• Have aches, niggles or past injuries
• Are navigating perimenopause or menopause
• Don’t enjoy loud gyms, mirrors or being shouted at

We specialise in coached strength training, delivered in small groups so you’re always supported — never left guessing.

Sometimes you just have to show up, trust the process and get the help and support you need to move forward.

As a coach I often forget to ask for help myself so I get it, but like Nikki who worked at one her niggles, kept showing up even when needing a week off to recover, she’s continually made progress.

To the point where she’s tripled her weights in less than 10 weeks of consistent training.

She reaches out to ask for help when needed.

And new members Gill and Mandy both said how much better they felt in just 3 weeks of their 6 week trial from feeling and moving better to actually lifting more weights (super important for women).

All 3 women have joined the studio to continue with their progress.

Got 5 mins for a different approach to food?? READ BELOW

UPFs??? Do you know? Do you care??

In light of the fitness person JW new protein bar and documentary, it’s worth mentioning a few basics around UPF - Ultra Processed Foods

One of the most highly processed UPFs is Whey Powder ie protein powder

Something that most influencers nearly never mentioned around foods that kill is - Dose and Exposure

Both have a fundamental effect on whether a food will actually kill you

Did you know that too much water drunk to too quickly could actually kill you????

But again dose and exposure play a role (among other factors)

Foods and digestion rarely work in such isolation that scientific studies can completely replicate the real world process of food/biological interactions

(those studies where aspartame causes cancer in rats at 1000% times normal dose don’t count)

A bigger factor (rather than demonising food) is to consider a clients triggers, motivations, cues and actions around environment, social interactions, mental wellbeing and many others around food.

I’ve said for decades the at food is a symptom of something else

Our relationship with food, growing up with mixed message around what’s healthy and what’s normal (by the way normal is what’s passed on from each generation to the next often with no real evidence).

So many of us have less than ideal food relationships and that’s not even considering the impact of EDs on people

So for real sustainable food and nutrition advice that’s backed by 3 decades of lived client experiences and results, also backed by science via my many years of study and my recent studies then follow us here and

We have the next set of dates for our parent and child first aid workshops.

The workshops are aimed at those new parents with young babies/children that want to grow their confidence should anything happen.

New parents are often uncertain around weening time and if baby gets unwell what to do.

This workshop helps build confidence, a sense of relief and a feeling of control when becoming a family.

Spaces are limited to 3 couples per workshop.
