Mark isn’t someone who struggles to get moving. He runs 60k a week. Trains constantly. Has a couple of marathons behind him.

So why does he need a gym?

Because running that much without breaking down needs strength work… not optional, not “if I get round to it.” It’s what keeps him running instead of injured.

He started with strength training first, then added the fitness classes, not the other way round most people expect. And he was deliberate about choosing a coach-led gym over a mainstream one: “I like some direction.”

The accountability isn’t about getting him through the door, he was already showing up. It’s the personalisation. A set routine that flexes to whatever he actually needs that week, not a generic program repeated on loop.

Two years in, His advice is the same as when he started: give it a try.

Good coaching is more than just good cues.

Yes, technical coaching matters. The right exercise selection, the right adaptations, and the right advice for someone’s individual goals and physiology all have their place.
But none of that means much if you don’t enjoy being in the room.

We believe creating an environment where people feel comfortable, supported, challenged and, most importantly, happy to be here is just as important as the coaching itself.

Because all the personalisation, individualisation and specificity in the world means very little if you don’t want to walk through the door.

That’s why we put such a huge focus on making the gym somewhere you want to be, surrounded by people who encourage you, coaches who engage with you, and an atmosphere that makes you want to keep showing up.

And if there’s one person who epitomises that, it’s Bobby. 🫶

The coaching is technical. The delivery is fun. The conversations are genuine and the challenge is optimal!

Summer’s over. Routine’s next.

At CTPT, you’re never left standing around wondering what to do, every session is coach-led, properly guided, trained at the right level for you.

We get it… life doesn’t pause for training. School runs, work, kids. So we build around where you actually are, not where a program assumes you should be.

New to training? Coming back after time off? Just struggling to stay consistent? Start from wherever you’re at, we’ll build the confidence and the pace from there.

This isn’t a gym where you’re handed a dumbbell and left to it. It’s a fully coached program built to get you fitter, stronger, and feeling like yourself again.

Kids are back at school. Your turn now.

You don’t need more motivation.

You need to find a way of training that you actually enjoy, and a place you genuinely want to come back to.

Because the gym is only one small part of the bigger picture.

The other 23 hours of your day matter too.

Your nutrition.
Your sleep.
Your stress.
Your work.
Your habits.
Your mindset.

That’s why coaching at CTPT goes beyond what happens on the gym floor.

We want you to enjoy training, feel supported by the people around you, and build habits that actually fit into your life.

Because the goal isn’t to make you better at spending an hour in the gym.

It’s to help you create a lifestyle that makes the results you want possible.

Find training you look forward to.
Build habits you can actually stick to.
And let the gym become the catalyst for change everywhere else.

Your results don’t just come from how you train.

They come from how you live.

A year ago, Holly wouldn’t have called herself a gym person. Now she’s signed up for a half marathon.

She joined CTPT just after coming back from travelling, job hunting, not very active, and noticing it in her weight and her mood. She wanted direction, not just a space to work out in.

What she didn’t expect was how much the small-group side would matter. Enough coaching that she’s not guessing what she’s doing or why. Enough people around her that she’s not relying on her own motivation to show up, because by her own admission, that’s never been her strong suit.

A year on: “I don’t view working out as a chore. I enjoy it.”

Fun, challenging, and, her word, an investment. Her advice for anyone on the fence: don’t hesitate. Just walk through the door.

The biggest lie we hear on day one: “I’m just not a gym person.”

It’s never true. What’s actually true is they haven’t found a place they enjoy showing up to yet.

Six weeks later, the same person is telling us they never expected to enjoy this. Nothing about their motivation changed. What changed was the room.. people they actually like training next to, coaches they look forward to seeing, an environment where they feel encouraged instead of judged.

That’s why we spend as much time building that environment as we do writing the programs. Because the plan only works if you actually want to walk through the door.

Nobody should spend the next 20 years forcing themselves through a version of exercise they hate. Find the one you look forward to, everything else gets easier from there.

Small group, for us, doesn’t mean “everyone does the same thing at the same time.” It means everyone in that room is working toward their thing… Luke’s just coaching four or five of them at once instead of one.

Progressing a squat here. Refining a hip hinge there. Someone building single-leg stability, someone else working on their squat depth.

Different cues, different loads, different focus… same hour, same coach, same energy in the room.

That’s the standard we hold ourselves to. Not “did everyone get a workout.” Did everyone get coached.

We asked how he’d best describe coaching… we think he’s nailed it! 💪

“I don’t have time to train.”

Yeah, you do. You just don’t have a plan.

Pick a number of sessions a week you’ll actually stick to. Two you’ll keep is worth more than five you’ll quit on by week three.

Make the decision once, not every single day, relying on willpower to drag you through the door. Book it like an appointment. Something you’re actually committed to, not something you’re hoping you’ll feel like doing.

And let someone else plan the session. When you’re not stood there wondering what to do next, 60 minutes is more than enough.

We hold the plan. You just show up.
