After almost a year and half out we are planning on progressing and develop CCCU Tennis. All levels of ability are welcome! We currently have players that had never played tennis before to players that play to a high university standard. We plan to have two to three team training sessions a week where CCCU lecturer Dr. Jon Swain and Tom who both have a Level 3 LTA Tennis coach qualification, will conduct the team training sessions (Tuesdays and Fridays tbc). The tennis committee will run the social tennis sessions, which happens once a week where anyone with any ability can play (Sunday Sessions tbc). We currently have a men's teams and one women's team. All tennis sessions are located at Polo Farm (CT3 4AF), which is a five-minute drive from the Old Sessions entrance to campus. The facilities are of a very high standard with six outdoor artificial clay courts and three indoor Acrylic courts. Transport is provided by the Student Union to and from the venue. Finally, what would a university society be without socials on a Wednesday night at Club Chemistry! Our taster session is on Sunday 26th September 2-4pm! We will be meeting at Old sessions house at 1.45pm.
