Sunday run day!

Saw a sign. Followed the path. Through some orchards. Over the railway. Through some more orchards.

The path disappeared. Found a way through in the end!

Amazing city tour with Sam and Martin this morning.😀

The couple live in Folkestone where Martin is a coastguard and Sam works in marketing. Sam also organises events for the East Kent Civil Servants Social Club, so hopefully this tour was the first of many!

Thanks for booking my tour. It was a stunning morning to be out and about and I really enjoyed showing you around the city.🙌

Sunday runday and 17km on tap.🙌

Took in much of the old route of the Canterbury 10 mile race, including Keepers Hill and Bekesbourne Hill. No tumbles today, so we’ll take the W.

They say running isn’t a contact sport … unless you wind up hitting the floor. Twice.😩

Maybe it’s because I was distracted thinking about the weekend ahead, but less than a mile into this morning’s effort I managed to trip and take a tumble resulting in a smashed phone and a scraped elbow and knee. I brushed it off and carried on running only to hit the deck again less than 500 metres from home, smashing up my phone screen even more and whacking the same knee.🤕

Fortunately my screen protector took the brunt of the damage, and my knee - and pride - will recover in time.

Happy Friday, and stay safe everyone!💛

Sound advice.

Sunday runday!🙌

It was an early 8 miler out through the wheat fields to the east of the city. Some of these paths need a trim as the nettles did their worst.😩

Looped back into the city to find a Tai Chi class in full, synchronised swing in Solly’s Orchard. Also stopped to help a lovely lady called Catherine save a stricken magpie who she had rescued from the river. Hopefully he’s getting better.

Have a great day everyone.💛

Nobody but me, the birds and the squirrels in the woods this morning. A bit hot and sweaty after 9 miles and lots of hills. My face matches the red bricks on the wall behind me.🥵

Tremendous morning run by the river and through Harbledown. I love days like these: it’s fresh, the sun is shining and the city is buzzing with its Friday routine.

Can you spot the train bringing visitors into the city? Maybe they’ll go punting … or maybe even book a running tour… 🤷‍♂️😆

Good morning from the beautiful Dane John Gardens, fully reopened and full of people enjoy the warm Friday sunshine.

We pass through the gardens on our running tours so it’s wonderful to have them open again.👏
